(A/N: This morning, I was walking down the hallway before school, and my friend Faith yells down the hall:

"Hey, Rent is going off Broadway! It's closing!"

I stood there for a second, and then started freaking out and screaming at her and tearing up. In homeroom, I sat there wanting to cry so bad. As soon as I got home, I grabbed my Mark scarf and cuddled with it, hoping its Mark-tastic powers would make it better.

WHY??????

The answer is somehow hidden in my pointless drabbles. Enjoy.)

RENTRENTRENTRENT

It's Over

The audience is gone. The actors are gone. The stage is stark, bare, blank.

It's over.

The life, the startling passion, the quivering emotion that once had the power to ignite the air, all gone. The dance has ended, the song had concluded. The joy that delivers the tears, the tears that bring about the sadness, the sadness the sparks the hope, the hope that shifts fluidly into joy: dead and gone.

The stage is now just that, a stage. The stage is stark, bare, blank.

No day but today. It's time for tomorrow.

It's over.

Dearly beloved, we gather here to say our goodbyes …
