Just a short poem that I wrote for a school assignement and decided to share it with everyone on . I'd appreciate reviews because I wrote it for school and would like some feedback other than what my teacher gave me.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Outsiders
Hair combed with heavy grease.
Eyes wide and never at peace.
Smart and brave for all his life,
Even when it was filled with strife.
Elfish face and pointed chin,
Snow white hair and broken skin.
Liar, fighter, eyes that stare,
Always had a bit of flair.
Johnny Cade, once alive.
Age of death, eleven plus five.
Loved by no one but his gang,
Only with them his heart sang.
Dallas Winston in his grave,
Johnny Cade he tried to save.
Died instead by a policeman's gun,
Suicide, and he was done.
Punished, beaten and abused,
Broken legs and skin that bruised.
A life at home that could get no worse.
To his parents he was a curse.
Always one to pick a fight,
Never one to run in fright.
Far too reckless for his age.
To him, life was a war on stage.
One destroyed by wood and fire,
Where once there stood a choir.
The other died in despair,
With feelings that he didn't share.
To Johnny and Dallas,
We harbor them no malice.
May their deaths set them free,
In our hearts they'll always be.

I know that this isn't my best work ever but the reviews are always appreciated!
