A/N: Just a small one shot I decided to do. It has nothing whatsoever to do with my other stories. Enjoy!
If I feel up to it, I might continue to add other one shots to this one. I'm not sure yet.
Golden Fruit
Third POV
She loved the way his laugh sounded. It echoed in her ears in a harmonic tune. And she laughed with him, sashaying up the steps in her dress.
She found it funny, in a way, how long she had waited to be happy. The laugh she had given because of him, with his hand on the small of her back, was the first glimpse of true happiness she'd received in a long time.
The giggles started to die down as they reached the door to her bedroom.
She sighed and stared up into his dark, topaz eyes, burning with intensity. What she didn't know was that the burning was from love and desire. But in that moment, she realized how badly she wanted him to show her how he felt.
"I had a really amazing time tonight," she promise. He smiled, as he often did around her.
"Thank you dearly for accompanying me," he said.
Blushing, she uttered, "My pleasure."
And then, for a few precious moments, they just looked at each other. She admired his handsome face and his sharp, but boyish, features. Her gaze traveled to his lips— so soft, so pink again the pallid skin. She wished that he would just kiss her already.
Just do it, she thought. Kiss me already. Don't you know I would never push you away?
"Goodnight," he whispered, leaning down as if he was about to press his mouth to hers, but then only kissed the smooth skin of her cheek.
Disappointed, yet still with color coming to her face, she said her adieu. He walked away and down the hall with slow, graceful steps.
He doesn't want me, she recollected sadly, letting out the breath of air she didn't realize she was holding. Turning back to the door, she opened it.
The inside of her room was cold because of an abandoned, open window. She shut it quickly, shivering. A strong gust of wind had blown some papers astray on the wood floor. Sighing, she started picking up the mess at her feet. She was interrupted seconds later.
Knock, knock.
Confused, she placed the stacked papers on her desk and walked to the door. When she saw who was there, she immediately asked, "What are you—"
His lips fell upon hers forcefully, arms going around her. She only hesitated for a mere few seconds before bringing her eyes to clutch his hair, eyes closing. She could feel the electricity vibrating between both of them.
He pulled away from her. "Bella, I'm—"
Bella pressed one pale finger to his mouth. "I know. Please, don't say another word."
And Edward didn't. He just kissed her again.
Adorable, right? Let me know if you want me to continue with other one shots.
