Heres my short story about the leaf villages symbol. Me and my friend were talking on msn and I found some random quote from naruto abridged.

Okay so here's the story of the leafs village symbol. Long ago in the village of konoha it didn't have a sign. So the hokage went out in search of a symbol. But hes not important right now. The important member of this story is Tom the snail. Tom was a happy snail he was a ninja snail that never did wrong and would always help protect the village. (not that it needed protection form anything.) but anyway tom one day had to go on a mission. (no idea what kind of mission a snail had to go on but we can humor him and say it was muchos importante) anyway tom went out on his mission. While he was gone his wife Shelby. Cheated on him with a slug summoned by the hokages close friend who taught Tsunade to summon slugs. So while tom was gone his wife got it on with the slug (ew). About a week later tom returned from his all important mission and he had a gourd! He was also quite sunburnt form the sand village…(wouldn't he had died …doesn't sand have some kind of salt in it O.o) well anyway tome our hero snail returned home to find his wife with a giant slug!! Boy was he surprised! So he left his wife and ran away (well um im not quite sure what snails do..) but on his journey away form hime he met up with the hokages who were drinking! (what else can you expect form relatives of tsunade?) anyway they dropped a bottle of sake on the ground. Tom slugged into the sake and ended up getting drunk on it. He fell over and could not get up. The hokage saw this and had a brilliant idea. He had found the symbol for the leaf village.
