Metaphorically Speaking

by Swellison

Eleven-year-old Sammy read from his paper. "Her eyes are like sapphires."

"That's a simile, not a metaphor," Dean corrected. "Can't use 'like' or 'as'."

"You're a dick," Sammy grumbled. This was the third time Dean rejected his homework. It was getting annoying.

"That's an object." Dean lightly whapped Sammy's neck. "You got the dissimilarity of the comparison dead-on, though."

Sammy frowned in concentration, then wrote another sentence. Dean read over his shoulder: His arms are a golden cage of safety.

"That works. But how'd you-?"

"Mrs. MacDonald always says write what you know."

Dean ruffled Sammy's hair. "Bitch."

"Jerk."

A/N: I haven't written Wee!chesters for awhile and I wanted something light for the holidays, so hope this fits the bill. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the drabble reading and writing community;-)
