Hi all. The songs in this story are 100% original and are my ideas, just to ensure there's no misconception.

CHAPTER 1: Song of the shrimps

The disco room had a glass wall looking out to the balcony where you could look over the dark, purple-shaded at night reef. But this had an important history; on that very balcony, Oscar had dumped Lola, in which Lola had proceeded to slam Oscar repeatedly against the glass window. On that basis, you'd think the disco room was a depressing atmosphere, especially for Oscar. That couldn't be more wrong.

After Don Lino's sharks made peace with the reef and its residents, a whole new energetic atmosphere had emerged, and now, it's led to tonight; in the disco room, surrounded and cluttered by giant lava lamps from green to red, alongside small, slow white spotlights flashing and hovering all over the room, including the glass, a singing night was going to happen. They weren't just any songs; they were going to be songs pretty much talking about what the sharks and the fish had to get through to create peace.

Amongst the fish, in their thousands, in the disco room as it had a flashy environment was Oscar and Angie; Oscar was leading his selected group of fish to perform their song; he came up with the lyrics and everything. Don Lino, alongside Lenny, were the leaders of their selected group of sharks, and like the fish, they had their own song to perform. But quite significantly, the SHRIMPS, the very shrimps who had witnessed Don Lino's attempt to force Lenny to eat their own kind, had a song of their own to perform. To keep in with the peace, they toned their song down from what they'd want, but if they hadn't toned it down, it'd simply be a whole roasting session aimed at Don Lino.

Because the shrimps were the smallest out of the three groups, their song/performance was to go on first. As the disco room had a bunch of gangster-sounding music echoing through the music boxes, particularly through the DJ areas, it all came to a silence, as a couple of colourful, vibrant fish wearing what looked like sunglasses appeared on stage; they were here to do the introductions for each group. The lava lamps around the disco room still shined their greens and reds with the giant bubbles gently moving off of one another, shining as bright as the sun.

Don Lino, Lenny, Oscar and Angie were amongst those in the room for the evening; they were obviously here to perform their songs. Angie was going to observe the entire thing, rather than taking part herself.

It was crazy to think that at one point, Oscar was a bottom-feeder of the reef just scrubbing the tongues of whales, and now, he's practically a celebrity in a singing square-off against the sharks. The reef was truly a place of peace now, and this night occurring solidified that.

Ernie and Bernie were amongst those watching alongside Angie. Their long tentacles were hovering with the water as their purple and blue transparent heads stuck out like sore thumbs. Mr Sykes was also watching with Angie and the two jellyfish; he was fascinated by how quickly the sharks and the reef had bonded, and it gave him a good feeling inside.

"ALRIGHT YOU FISHIES, HOW'RE YOU DOING?!" the gangster-like fish echoed, through the microphone, as he swam up to a rather high height off of the stage.

Oscar, Angie, and the other fish cluttered in this disco room had cheered to create a vibrating wave through the water; some even swam upwards to the roof of the room to express their energy for the events tonight.

"SHARKS, HOW'RE YOU DOIINGGG?!" he asked, upon hearing the fish cheer.

"BRING IT ON!" Don Lino yelled, at the same time as his son, Lenny, as his sharks cheered with their much deeper and thick voices compared to the fish; they were like men in a bar cheering on at a football game on the television.

"UH," the announcer fish on the stage stuttered as he couldn't really ask the shrimps how they were doing; it was so loud in here that their tiny voices wouldn't be heard, and he acknowledged that they were going on first anyways.

"ALRIGHT, ON THAT BASIS, LET ME JUST RECAP...SHARKS AND FISHES, INCLUDING MYSELF, ARE COOL...WHAT BETTER WAY TO CELEBRATE THE END OF THE HOSTILITIES THAT HAD ONCE THREATENED THIS REEF WITH A BIT OF A SING-OFF?! AND ON THAT NOTE, LET'S NOT WASTE ANY TIME! BRING ON THE SHRIMPSSS!"

The tiny, red-like shrimps remained near the crowd until their starting beats came on. After the sharks and fish had collectively cheered at the commencing of the sing-off, the opening beats of their song started emerging through the loudspeakers.

"Look Angie, we're about to boot em up and outta here like it was small business..." Oscar said, overly confident at what he's planned for his song.

"Take it easy, don't make any sort of mistake that resembles you know what, got it?" Angie said, referring to the shark slayer lie at the end of her sentence.

"Why would I, haha? that ain't even possible..."

Humming from the shrimps began, humming that was at the same time and same pitch; their song echoed louder, and their hums echoed louder as a result. As the drums came into place, the shrimps elevated from the tables across the disco room, in their 50+ numbers, to swim in a choreographed manner, line by line, towards the stage. The fish and sharks clapped in line with the catchy tune emerging as the shrimps all piled up to the stage in a single file line.

"OOOOHHH AHHHHHHHHHHH OOOOOOHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHH!" the shrimps hummed, as they continued to increase their numbers on the stage; flashlights of purple, blue, red and green started flashing across the disco room as they were getting started, and some of the fish started swimming around, dancing to the tune.

"HEY, HEY, HEY, HEY, HEY, HEY, HEY, HEY, HEY, HEY, HEY!" the shrimps chanted, stopping completely as they were fully above the stage.

"To all you sharks, that have left your marks..."

"We may be tiny, but we're also handy..."

"We're smart, intelligent, but we expected Don Lino to be hesitant..."

"When he grabbed one of us to use as bait...for his son, basically for us to be ate..."

"But luckily his son had seen through it all...and now, forgiving and forgetting, we hope the peace remains tall.."

They were approaching their chorus, as the vibe turned up about 10000+ times.

"THE FISH AND SHARKS ARE NOW TOGETHER..."

"EMBARKING ON PEACE FOR THE REEF THAT LASTS FOREVER..."

"BUT DON LINO, YOU SHOULD KNOW..."

"YOUR GUILT FOR WHAT YOU DID SHOULD BE KNOWN..."

Don Lino didn't take the lyrics seriously; he was genuinely entertained from the song the shrimps were singing, and it got the whole disco dancing.

"PAP, DO YOU LIKE IT?!" Lenny yelled.

"Just remember your lines, Lenny, we're up last...but yeah, I LOVE IT! WHY DIDN'T WE DO THIS AGES AGO?!" Don Lino yelled.

The shrimps were coming up to their second part.

"Despite the differences between our sizes.."

"The confidence between us has done a ton of rises..."

"But keeping Oscar off the hook is far from keen..."

"For Don Lino's treatment which was very mean..."

"Couldn've been prevented had Oscar not let the lie leaaaannnn..."

Oscar chuckled at the 'roasting' he received from their performance; it was still entertaining, and he swam around in circles to dance to it.

"THE FISH AND SHARKS ARE NOW TOGETHER..."

"EMBARKING ON PEACE FOR THE REEF THAT LASTS FOREVER..."

"BUT DON LINO, YOU SHOULD KNOW..."

"YOUR GUILT FOR WHAT YOU DID SHOULD BE KNOWN..."

"YOUR GUILT FOR WHAT YOU DID SHOULD BE KNOOOOOOOOOOOOWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN..." the shrimps chanted, concluding their song to what was a heavy reception.

They were huffing due to their tiny bodies containing a smaller amount of air compared to everybody else, but they did it; they got through their song, and they were hoping that Don Lino had received the message loud and clear.

Next up was Oscar's group. In the midst of all the fish and sharks yelling and cheering at the stage, it made him wonder; if the shrimps could exceed expectations, can he exceed their performance? only time will tell as it will right now.
