Hey everyone. This is my first fanfiction. Sorry in advance for any spelling errors. I was inspired to write this because of a recent story I came across but do not want to spoil anything. If the persons speech is like "this" then those are thoughts to themselves. Enjoy the first chapter! Warning- slow paced story

Chapter 1- Strange awakening

I woke up to a loud crashing sound that echoed thru the mountains that surrounded me. It was pitch black outside and I had no idea where I was. I slowly got to my feet. I was drenched head to toe and the rain showed no sign of calming down. "Where am i? How did I get here? I felt a pain in both my arms as I finally got to my feet. "How long have I been out here?" I looked around me for any sort of shelter. I saw a single light shining and decided my best bet was to go to it. I stumbled up the hill. I was about half way up the hill when a shot of pain hit my head and I fell into the mud. The pain in my arms any got worse. It wasn't looking good. Suddenly a dark shadow landed in front of me. It must have only been a few inches tall. The shadow got closer to me. I finally realized what the shadow was. A pair of red eyes looked at me and an emotionless expression appeared on the small creatures face. It was a bat. It nudged on my cheek and implied it wanted me to follow it. After about 10 minutes we made it to the top of the mountain. The lighthouse stood in front of me. I turned to thank the bat but it had already disappeared into the storm. "I hope it will be alright. This storm is very rough…" I looked down at what I was wearing. I had light blue skinny jeans on that were ripped in a few places and cuts were located on my knees and shins. "I must have gotten them when I fell." My light pink shirt clung to my body and my dark purple hoodie was covered in mud. My dirty blonde hair dripped in my face. I pulled up the sleeves and looked at my arms. "Weird… No cuts or bruises. Where is this pain coming from?" The lighthouse overlooked a cliff with sharp rocks at the bottom. The waves were rough because of the storm. In the distance I could see a beach.

I walked up to the light house in order to shelter myself from the storm until it calmed down so I could get help but before I could a lightning bolt came down and hit the light house. I screamed in fear and my heart started to race. The pain suddenly returned to my head but more intense then before. I fell to my knees. I realized it wasn't pitch black anymore. A strange green glow appeared in the ocean. I saw quick images of ghosts, demons, and other strange beings. It looked like radiation of all over the town. The visions were eating at my mind and wouldn't stop. I wanted it to stop. I couldn't take it. I crawled to the edge of the cliff. I started to lean off the edge but an icy gripped grabbed my shoulders.

I opened my eyes after hearing the voice of a calm man. I was in my classroom. I sat alone in my chemistry classroom. The teacher was lecturing the class on the different types of reactions for benzene. The lab desk next to me had to girls that were giggling to each other. One of the girls phone vibrated. Her name was Fionna. She was the rich girl on campus that everyone knew. She had short blonde hair and a black sweater with a jean skirt on. Sitting next to her was another blonde haired girl who had long hair and a long sleeved black shirt on with skinny jeans. Fionna threw a ball of paper at my friend who sat alone in the corner of the classroom. Her name was Keila. She was a quiet girl. She was pale and looked sick. She had huge bags under her eyes. She had black hair and a tan shirt with black jeans on.

I looked down at my desk and saw an outline for a chemistry project that I was going to submitted. I sighed knowing that it could be better. I loved science and always did great but felt I was never good enough. I couldn't stop wondering what that dream was about. The bell ring before I knew it. I gather up all my stuff and headed to leave. I stopped by Keilas desk. She was doodling in her notebook. I always worry about her. Shes always picked on because of her views on waiting until marriage to have sex. I admired her for it. "Hey Keila want to go get some tea later?" I asked her with a smile on my face. She stared at me with a blank expression for a moment before replying. "Not today Bonnibel. Not feeling up to it." "That's fine. If you need anything just text me"

I started to leave the classroom but the teacher called my name from his desk. He is a well known scientist who had done research in basically every field and was even nominated for a nobel prize a few years ago. His name was Gilroy Gumball. He was slightly tan. He stood about 6 feet tall and was very well dressed in a business suit. He had a pink tie on which I thought was hilarious. He had styled short dirty blonde hair. All the girls at this school thought he was hot and were always trying to get in his pants.

"Hey Dr. Gumball. What's up?" I asked him while I smiled. He grinned at me and replied "How goes the outline for the experiment proposal for research day?" I quickly got nervous and sighed. "I don't know…Do I have to?" He looked at me and gave me a warm smile. "Bonnibel you a better chemistry then you are a liar. Now I know it's a pain to hear some old dude lecture you but life wont wait for you to play catch-up. You're young, the word is yours, blah blah blah right?" He chuckled at his own joke and I awkwardly smiled. He continued to speak. "You do have a gift. I have seen it. You have a love for the sciences that reminds me of myself at your age. All you need is the courage to share your gift with others. You can change lives. You can be an every day hero."
