Oblivious Solution
"It isn't that they can't see the solution. It is that they can't see the problem" – G. K. Chesterton
Sam jumped as Castiel suddenly appeared. "The victims all had one thing in common," observed the angel, glancing over their case notes.
Sam waited patiently while Castiel did the 'eye thing' with Dean. Whatever secret message was sent, it was apparently well received and understood.
"Of course," Dean groaned. "How'd we miss that?"
Castiel shrugged. "It's easy to miss the solution when it's right in front of you."
"What is it?" asked Sam, through gritted teeth.
"You," answered Castiel. "All the victims were unusually tall."
"So you get to be Sasquatch-killer bait, Sammy," Dean grinned, clapping him on the shoulder.
