Part of the time, that she was with him, she knew she would stay with him forever. Rin being only an 11 year old girl. She wanted her lord more than ever, playing in the field of flowers, she started making flower crowns. She couldn't wait to see her lords face, when she presented one to him. A-Un sat next to her, before nuzzling both his heads against her. Rin couldn't help herself from giggling, as she dropped her unfinished flower crown and petted the two headed dragon. She than looked back down at her crown and started working on it. Jaken just watched the human girl, while the dragon was a more protect to Rin than he was. He knew his lord made a mistake taking in a human child, he didn't know what he saw in her. She was useless as ever. Always getting kidnapped, getting killed and for worst he was the one always getting hit or stepped on whatever his big mouth got him in trouble. He sigh to himself, he felt his lords presence entering the scene. He slowly got up from his spot and rushed over to him.

"Lord Sesshomaru, you have returned."

"Of course, Jaken." The tall daiyouki saw the little girl with the two headed dragon. He slowly walked over to them, followed by the imp.

"Rin." he spoke, Rin looked back at her lord. Jumping off the ground, she presented him with a flower crown.

"Rin made this for you my lord." heading him the flower crown, he patted her head. He kneeled down to her level, letting her place the crown on his head. Sesshomaru loved the girl like his daughter. Though he would never really show it or say it. Rin knew just by looking at him, she smiled at him, before climbing on A-Un.

"Lord Sesshomaru, why are you wearing such a stupid thing." Rin's face was sadden hearing Master Jaken. Sesshomaru glared at him, before kicking him to the side. Jaken groan, seeing his lord leaving him.

"I suspect nothing from you, Jaken." Jaken heart raced. Rin noticed his panic mode, but she watched her lord. She would follow him, no matter what.

"Wait for me." Jaken finally caught up with them. He glared at Rin, she didn't see it and that's what he wanted.

"Stupid human, she has him wrapped around her finger." he knew it, but than again if something happened to her, he would be a dead imp.

As the day grew short, Sesshomaru stopped,

"We will rest here for the night." Rin got off of A-Un, she looked around seeing a small stream not far from the camp.

"Lord Sesshomaru, may Rin get some food?" she asked. Sesshomaru looked down at the girl, before nodded.

"Jaken follow her." Jaken groan as he followed the human child. Sesshomaru sat himself by the tree, he closed his eyes thinking about his ward. She's growing up, she needed to be living at a human village. Yet he knew she wouldn't want to live there, she trusted demons more than her own kind. The reason why he kept her, was because he found the child amusing. Her childlike feature caught his eye, she took care of him even though he never accept her offer. Thinking back, he truly care for the girl. Sesshomaru wouldn't let anything happen to her, not now, not ever. He opened his eyes, seeing his ward had return. Jaken on the other hand was a big mess considering he kept on whining on how he had to go into the water. Sesshomaru ignored him, before getting up from his spot. "Rin behave yourself, I will returned." he left the camp, making Rin sad. Dropping her fish she ran after him, grabbing a hold of his haori, Sesshomaru looked back seeing her eyes filled with tears.

"Don't leave, please." he knew she wanted him to stay. He kneeled down to her level, she let go of his haori. He wipe the tears away with his only hand, Rin saw his face.

"Rin, I will be back. This Sesshomaru promises you." Sesshomaru took his flower crown off of him, before placing it on top of the girls head. Rin slowly brought him a smile, Sesshomaru stood up before her.

"You promise?" he nodded once more, before turning himself around and started walking in the same direction he was going. Rin saw him disappear into the forest, she felt her flower crown on her head. She thought of what he said, he promised he would return, but for how long will she had to wait. Rin returned back to her camp, seeing Jaken already set a fire up and cooking the fish she caught. She sat down near the fire wrapping her arms around her knees. A-Un started eating the fish, before resting. Its been a long journey and he needed the rest. Rin looked over at Master Jaken, eating the fish that was finally cooked. She too looked at her fish, she grabbed it blowing on it, before eating her fish.

She waited for him, curling up against the tree, she looked up at the sky. She saw the crescent moon high in the sky, stars were out tonight. They looked beautiful, she reached her hand out seeing if she could touch them. She knew she couldn't, before wrapping herself around, it was chilly tonight and the fire was out. The flower crown she had on her head was now besides her, the only thing that her lord placed on her head. Closing her eyes she whispered,

"Lord Sesshomaru, please come back." she drifted off into sleep, even with the cold it was still hard for her to sleep. Later on the night, the lord return, seeing his ward freezing in her sleep. He glared at the sleeping toad, yet he had to do something. Sesshomaru walked up to her, moving her flower crown that she made for him aside. He sat next to her, he pulled her onto his lap, while his tail wrapped around her. Holding her close, he saw she wasn't shaking anymore. Sesshomaru could of sworn she had a smile on her face. All sorts of feelings was running through his mind, he cared for her, he would do anything for her. Sesshomaru leaned down and kissed her forehead. He slowly drifted off to sleep, whispering to her.

"I will never leave you, Rin." As soon as he fell asleep, Rin slowly opened her eyes, seeing her lord with her. She smiled, before kissing his forehead, from that point on Rin knew her lord would return to her. She snuggled into him, letting his tail wrap around her tiny body, feeling the warmth caused her to slowly fall asleep. Rin smiled in her sleep, before whispering,

"Always and forever with you."
