It was a bit AU & pre-series/fetus Emison- Emily is still in the closet/in love with Ali. Ali is flirting with Emily as usual while sleeping with Ian. Pretty sure Emily is still dating Ben in this. There's also a scene with Emily and Ali in the pool at school and Alison is flirting with Emily after practice (ik it's a scene in every fan fiction for them but it stood out to me lol). Emily tries to give Alison the letter she wrote about being in love with her but her dad takes it and keeps it in his desk. Ali's dad is an abusive drunk. He has some family secret that Alison tried to find. She finds Emily's letter when she's going through his desk trying to find information Kenneth is hiding. There's a confrontation and Alison is still buried alive. She gets out and then hides with Cece. Eventually the girls find her and she explains to them what happened with her dad.
At one point Emily follows Alison and Hanna out to this field where these two guys are fixing cars in a garage. I know one dude is Sean and the other might be Noel. They're there so Hanna can flirt with Sean but Emily thinks it so Alison can hang out with Noel and Emily follows them there to spy. Lots of Emily/Alison not communicating throughout the story. I think it was rated M and if it wasn't it was rated T.
