Uh, hi!

I'm back. Hopefully for a while. I'm coming back to this story, wanting to revise and revamp it. But, I am a senior in high school, so it's not going to be a consistent uploading schedule.

Nina was spaced out again, as was more half the class. Then again it was only a month into the school year and they were only reviewing the final topics learned at the end of the previous year. It's a wonder as to why the teacher is still talking.

Please stop talking.

Looking around the classroom, she spotted, at the front of the room, her older brother, Justin, typing away on his phone behind his laptop. More than likely texting his girlfriend, who was in another class. A little closer to her was her little sister, Amy, who appeared to be paying attention but was more than likely doodling along the side of her paper. The last two of her immediate family, sadly. Being that their Gran has recently passed away from breast cancer. Despite already having knowledge of her health issues and being prepared to be on their own for another year or so, having to go through the troubles of her death caused stress on the three.

Next to Nina was their best friend and housemate, Mackenzie. She was one of the few who was paying attention to the review, even going as far as taking notes. Mack, her nickname, is closest to Nina. They were polar opposites. Nina was an extrovert who would talk to anyone and everyone without question. Mack was an introvert who had her head in down at all times, never wanting to face confrontation, but is not afraid to stand up for herself. Her personality makes her an enjoyable friend and family to have, even leading up to when Nina left to England, having to be so used to being around such a persona. Which probably explains why Nina had a nice connection with Fabian, especially considering the fact that Mackenzie is Fabian's twin sister.

The class was then briefly interrupted from a student carrying a note from the front office. She handed to the teacher before leaving quickly.

"Please send the following student(s) to the principal's office immediately: Amy Martin, Justin Martin, Nina Martin and Mackenzie Rutter. Thank you," the history teacher.

Releasing a sigh, the four packed up their stuff and left the room. As they walked, Amy, in front, turned around whilst walking backwards through the halls.

"What do you guys think we're being called for?" Amy asked in her silvery voice.

"Amy, please watch where you're going," Justin stated, disregarding her question.

"Not sure, but we can't be in trouble since it's the four of us and not just Nina," Mack answered.

"What!?"

"Oh, come on Neens. You have been called into the principal's office more times than once for fighting someone on campus."

"Well, I haven't fought anyone so far since the middle of the summer."

"We know."

They arrived in the front office and were guided into the principal's.

The first thing they saw was Miss. Mann sitting at her desk glancing up as they walked in and a smile gracing her face. Not a good sign.

"Come in, sit," she greeted, festering to the three chairs in front. The girls sat while Justin stood.

"Well, I'm sure you four are wondering why you are here!" Miss. Mann exclaimed.

None of us said anything.

"Okay, look," she continued, "A principal at a school in England and I came to an agreement that we will have an exchange program."

"Can I leave now?" Nina asked.

"No." Nina huffed. "I want you four and your friends to show them around when they arrive."

"What about housing for them," Mack brought up.

"One of them actually live here in Los Angeles, so they offered to have them stay with the family and take care of transportation to and from. Now, here are the schedules." Justin grabbed the folder and looked at the contents inside.

"What school are they coming from?" Amy asked softly. Justin chuckled and then passed the folder to Nina. She opened it up and looked at the name on the first page. The name shown shocked her.

"Amun Academic Boarding School." Miss. Mann answered.

Rutter, Fabian James

Wait, Nina randomly thought, why aren't they in alphabetical order?

Across the ocean, in Liverpool, England, sat the one on Nina's mind, Fabian Rutter. He sat in his room, at his desk, working on paperwork from his father's company. Or, at least, that's what he is supposed to be working on. Instead, he sat there, glancing up on occasion to look at a frame containing a picture of him and

Nina, smiling at one another. They did not have any knowledge the picture was being taken; Amber surprised them with it as a Christmas present.

A buzz brought Fabian out of his thoughts. "Fabian," his older sister, Liz, spoke through the intercom installed. "You have a letter from the school."

"Okay, I'm coming down." he replied. He straightened up the paperwork, glanced at the picture once more, and then left the room. On his way down the stairs, Fabian bumped into his younger brother, Maxon, who was holding a football in his hand.

"Hey Fabian, want to come to the park with me?" he asked. "I'm meeting up with Mick and John."

"Later," Fabian replied, "I need to see what this letter is about."

"Okay," he replied, before walking out the door, Fabian to the kitchen.

"Here." Upon walking in, Liz tossed two letters, one from the school, the other for their parents.

"What's this one about?" He asked her, holding up the one for their parents.

"Can't tell you."

"Liz."

"I can't, mum and dad wanted to tell everybody."

"But you are a part of this, right?"

"Of course," she said proudly, "I was the one who discovered them."

"Discovered?"

"Whoops! Said too much." She then ran out of the kitchen before anything else could be said.

As Fabian walked up the stairs to his parents' room, he opened the letter.

Dear Parent/Guardian of Fabian Rutter,

I would like to gladly inform you that your child has been selected to participate in an exchange program.

Wait, what?
