The Beast and The Child

a drabbley-type story based off my story, A Gallifreyan's Dream. It would be advisable to read that first to get to know the characters, but it isn't by any means necessary.
(for those reading AGD, this is how Freya gets her name)
enjoy, and don't forget to review!

The Beast knew of her before she did.

"And the Lost Girl, so far away from home. The Valiant Child who will die in battle so very soon."

Looking back, she remembered how both herself and the Doctor thought that both were tied to Rose. It was an obvious assumption; she was only a child, really, when started travelling with him.

But by the time they had met the Beast, she had left her childhood behind. She had left it long ago, maybe as far as Platform One, watching her Earth burn like the Doctor's Gallifrey had. Seeing that had made her see things in a whole new light. She never forgot the image, and it had haunted her dreams for weeks.

The Beast knew of her before she did.

She knew she was the 'Lost Girl' - she was lost. She didn't know where she was, or how she was going to get back ... if she was going to get back.

She assumed she was the 'Valiant Child' - she was valiant. Ready to stand up for any planet or person she needed to. She'd almost died quite a few times.

The Beast knew of her before she did.

Crossing a void isn't good for an unborn baby. She was meant to die, and she almost did. Something pulled her back from the brink. The Battle almost killed her.

Sitting, waiting, Rose was glad she didn't die. She didn't know if she could cope without something to busy herself with. This little girl relied on her, needed her. She was not going to let this little girl burn like the Earth had, like the Doctor's home had.

It was in that instant that Rose knew what she was going to call her daughter.

Gallifrey.

Hope you liked it, just a quick thing, a 'missing moment' of sorts. Please review! I'd like to know if I'm getting better, or if I should just give up writing now
