A/N: Hey guys. Normally I don't do these kinds of things, but given the circumstances I felt this appropriate. In case you haven't heard, Pua Magasiva, who played

Shane Clarke in Power Rangers Ninja Storm, was tragically found dead last Saturday in his home. Shane was always one of my favorite characters, and what makes this an even bigger blow is that it happened on my birthday. So in honor of him, I give you this story. Warning: Have a box of tissues on hand.

A cold wind blew across the cemetery as the small congregation of eight made their solem passage to their destination. In the middle of the cemetery sat a simple grave which read

"Here Lies Shane Clarke,

An inspiration to all.

A Great teacher, friend, and brother."

RIP

For a second, no one dared to speak. Tori and Blake held each other tightly, as did Dustin and Marah. Everyone else bowed their heads in respect. After a short while, it was Dustin who spoke up.

"Its weird, you know? After all we've been through, you wouldn't think it would've been Lothor or some other threat that did him in. Do we even know what happened?"

All he received was silence.

"The night before at our race, he was as alive as he could be," Hunter reminisced, "You never would've guessed he would be dead the next day."

"He even hoisted our daughter up so she could see her daddy win," Blake smiled sadly, "Uncle Shane she always called him."

"Its just not right," Tori sniffed, "he was so young. Why him?"

No one could give an answer to that. Not even Cam could bring himself to give a snarky reply. At last, their Sensei spoke up.

"I know this is hard. I myself feel a great sense of loss, not only as a sensei who lost his student, but as a father who lost his son. I treat all of my students as if they were my children,

and Shane, despite his faults, was no exception. But alas, death is the one threat that no one can defeat. Not even a Power Ranger."

Everyone nodded solemly, tears running down their faces. Once they had composed themselves, Dustin knelt down, boquet of flowers in his hand.

"Thanks for always being there for me, man. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you."

Slowly, he set it at the foot of the grave. Tori stepped forward next, doing the same.

"Shane, I'm sorry for all the times I teased you for your fear of spiders. If I could take them all back to see you one more time, I would."

Blake stepped forward next.

"I never did get that skateboard lesson. But, thanks for being an honorary uncle for little Izzy."

Hunter stepped forward next.

"Thanks for not giving up on me when I went crazy, Shane. I just wish I could've paid you back."

Cam stepped forward next, following the same steps as the others before him.

"Thanks for being late that day. If you guys hadn't become Power Rangers, none of us would be the people we are today."

Marah was next, holding back tears as her husband gently lay a hand on her shoulder.

"Thanks for helping me and Dustin get together. If you guys weren't so supportive of us, me and Kapri might've gone back to evil, never getting the chance to do something with our lives. You really were a hero."

Her sister Kapri was next.

"Its almost funny. Every time we tried to destroy you, we failed. But now that aren't, you..."

She had to step back, emotions taking over her. Lastly, Sensei stepped forward, solemly placing his boquet down.

"No matter how many times I scolded you, punished you for your tardiness, I was always proud of who you would become. Perhaps heaven just needed more heroes."

The eight people took one last sorry look at the tombstone before silently leaving the cemetery, knowing that their lives would never be the same. It would take a long time, but

eventually their hearts would heal. But they would never forget their dear friend Shane.
