TROBLE TO THE NORTH
It was smooth, almost perfectly smooth. It was about two or three millimeters in depth and exactly 2 inches wide, it was made of some sort of cold silverish metal, but that was not the only thing on it, it had almost a wave pattern all down the middle of it, the wave went all the way around the back and meet in the center, of what might be the front, in a circle. The metal around it wasn't moving but the metal or whatever it was that was in the center was almost flowing or changing. It was hard to describe the color of the metal in the center; it was almost a light blue with flacks of darker blue mixed into it. The whole thing seemed to have a strange glow or light reflection on it, making it almost looks alive or magical.
"What so let me get this straight, you mean to say that this little bracelet that you just put on my arm is going to keep me awake?" Sarah looked down at the newest addition to her jewelry and then looked back up at the Doctors standing in front of her. "Oh right sorry, alive for as long as I'm on Atlantis or until the city is done doing whatever it is that it is doing?" Sarah Lockman said rubbing the side of her face and noticing the bandage over her right eyebrow, she must have hit it when she passed out; she sat up and finished the sentence looking at Doctor Elizabeth Weir and Daniel Jackson.
"Well yes and no, I know that mine works back on Stargate Command but I mean we are stilling having this conversion so I think its working. I just don't know how long it's going to last." Jackson said showing her the matching bracelet on his right arm.
"Ok, so then why me? I mean I am just a part of Sheppard's team, what about McKay or Beckett?"
"I don't know! That's like asking why does the… the wind blow to the west! I just don't know, I tried the bracelet on them and it didn't work. Then I came to you and it latched on."
"Ok so now that I am super confused, what do we do now?"
"When this first happened on Command, we had accidently activated a ancient device that was causing the city to do… whatever it is doing, ours also effected the gate, but seeing as how your gate is still open and working it could be the same or not, at this point I just don't know."
"I guess we could check the records from the last few hours and see if there was any place that we were working that might have activated something."
"Ok, let's start there."
They headed to the command room and she entered her name and id number, she pulled up the log of where the teams were sent out in terms of the city. There had been two teams sent to the west and three to the north.
"Great so that narrows it down to two areas of the city and almost 50+ people that could have possibly done something. I have a feeling we should start on the north end of the city, I mean that's the least unknown area of the city."
They headed to the north tower and started on the main floor. Daniel was not allowed to carry a weapon on Atlantis, and so being a part of Sheppard's team, Sarah was the only one with a weapon, however they were both wearing TAC vests and Daniel was standing right behind Sarah.
