Our Tragic Paradise

[Drabble] Paradise. That's what Kiba calls it. But if paradise is supposed to be so great, why has our journey been so long and hard?

A/N - One-hundred word drabble set sometime fairly early from canon. Interpret the POV characteras you wish, it could be any of the wolves besides Kiba, I suppose. Now, onwards!

'Our Tragic Paradise'

Kiba calls it paradise.

I followed him because I was sure that paradise would be the perfect escape from a world that scorns us. Paradise – that means heaven. Heaven is supposed to be a wonderful place, right?

But if paradise is so great, why has our journey been so perilous? We've endured so much already, with no end in sight. Shouldn't the road to paradise be an easier path to tread than this one? It's enough to make me wonder if paradise really exists, and if our struggle has been worth it.

I guess we'll know when we get there.
