It was only a matter of time until it happened. But that didn't change the fact that it still surprised most people. With Kirara being a firecat demon, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Sango had desperately hoped that it had happened later, rather than sooner. Fate has a funny way of creeping up at you in times that you don't expect it to. It was horrifying.
She wanted to cry. It just wasn't right! Things like this never happened to anybody else. Never Kagome. Never Inuyasha. It didn't even happen to Miroku! If anybody, Miroku deserved it. He was a monk after all!
