The Fire That Is Hollywood
Sonny Monroe was a happy, normal and loving girl…
Well, before Hollywood anyway...
She used to do kind and considerate things for other people,
Just to show she cared,
But now she does not even pay attention to those considered to be "beneath" her…
She used to wear her mega-watt smile everywhere she went,
But now it has disappeared!
She used to laugh a beautiful heart-filled Guffaw,
But now she does not even chuckle!
She used to talk non-stop to everyone about everything…
But now she does not speak unless she is boasting about herself.
"Why?"
You may ask yourself…
And the answer is simple!
She was too weak, fragile and vulnerable to withstand the flames of Hollywood…
She was not able to survive the burn as the fire consumed her…
It turned her into yet another cloud of ash floating around Hollywood…
Choking those around her…
People tried to point her in the right direction,
She saw the warnings in big, bright, bold letters,
She tried to convince both herself and those around her that it could not hurt her,
But the flames soon destroyed her like they did to every other bright star that entered its territory,
It hurt so badly,
As she tried to fight it…
And so she gave up on it all…
She let the blaze devour her…
Because that's what the flames of Hollywood do…
They destroy everything innocent, untainted and wholesome that happens to be in their way…
Nothing and no-one can escape them.
