The Aftermath

(A/N) This is my first Rosto/Beka fanfic. I don't think I will make this into a story. I might just keep it a One-Shot. I'm not sure yet. PLEASE READ AND REVIEW!!

(Beka's POV)

I was Dogs' cursed tired when I began walking home taking a different route to get back to the inn from my long and lively watch. I was reaching the corner when I saw an unmoving shadow behind a building. Curiosity over took my senses and I slowly walked to the building, moving without a sound so as not to disturb the person or thing.

I saw the outline of a tall person, just waiting to ambush the next person that came. I reached my destination and realized that the countenance of this person looked familiar. It was a young man with long white blond hair with a lean muscular body. It was when I stepped on a twig and the eyes snapped open that knew who this person was.

"Rosto!" I yelped with surprise. "What in the God's cursed name are you doing here at this time of night?"

"I was waiting for you to come. But you surprised me when you came up from behind me. I was expectin' you to come from the road up ahead," he confessed in an amused tone.

"Why were you waiting for me?" I asked with more curiosity than ever.

"Because I was waiting for my favorite gixie to come back from her watch," he stated with a huge grin on his face.

"You lobby! I'm Gods' cursed tired. I don't want to see anyone except my soft cat and fluffy pillow," I explained glaring with my ice blue eyes.

"You don't have to see me. You could pretend that I'm not here," he replied smugly.

"Fine! I will," I replied and ignored him until we reached the foot of the stairs to the house.

Just when I was about to climb the steps, Rosto quickly grabbed me from behind and swiftly kissed my lips. He then quickly escaped to his room laughing the whole way there. I was so shocked

that I just stood there until I began to sway from standing there for so long. I slowly began to walk up the steps and made my way to my room. I'll confess one thing, I slept well that night.
