A/N: Here is my Whisper of the Heart story that I got inspired to write after watching the movie for the second time. Enjoy.
Normal POV:
"Shizuku, what is wrong with you?" Asako said.
Shizuku looked down toward the table with eyes shining with uncertain determination. She was conversing with her mom and dad about her future and decision to go to high school or not. She started looking up now with watery eyes filled with unshed tears. "My boyfriend moved to Italy!" Shizuku half shouted, tears pouring down her face.
"What!? Your boyfriend?" Asako asked confused. "I didn't know you had a boyfriend," her mom questioned.
"Well, he's not technically my boyfriend. We both know we like each other but we never officially went out." Shizuku started to calm down while she explained the situation. She told them everything that was going on with her and Seiji. Tears calmly streamed down her face as she continued to sniffle every now and then.
Seiya sat quietly at the table and continued to listen. He hadn't said a single word the whole time. When Shizuku was done he finally spoke. "I think Shizuku should do what she thinks is right, don't you honey?"
"Huh, ah yeah. Sure, especially if it's for this boy, Seiji, right?" her mom teased.
"You'll only have yourself to blame if things don't turn out right."
Shizuku nodded.
After Seiji's return…
Shizuku rode on Seiji's bike to her house. The sunset had been beautiful and everything was perfect. They finally arrived back at Shizuku's apartment. "Goodbye, Shizuku, I love you," Seiji blushed.
Shizuku blushed, "Goodbye, Seiji, I'm glad you're back. I missed you." Her blush grew bigger and her face got redder, "I love you too."
Seiji smiled then rode off. Shizuku walked up to her apartment and opened the door. "Shizuku, is that you?" Asako asked.
Shizuku sighed, "Yes mom. It's me."
"Where have you been? It's five o' clock in the morning,"
Shizuku walked into the kitchen to see her mom and dad sitting at the kitchen table looking mad and annoyed. "Seiji's back," she said excitedly. "He came to see me the first minute he arrived."
"Oh? And that gives you permission to leave the house this early in the morning without telling us?" Asako was really upset.
"But mom, aren't you happy for me? Seiji is back."
"We are happy for you sweetie, but you can't just leave without telling us first," Seiya answered.
"Fine," she sighed. "Oh, and I have something else to tell you."
"Oh? And what is that?"
"Seiji proposed to me!"
"WHAT!?"
"Yeah, he even told me he loved me. I'm definitely his girlfriend now," she smiled dreamily. This was like a fairy tale to her.
Shizuku's parents stared at her, mouths agape in shock. They didn't know what to say.
A/N: Hope you enjoyed. Oh and if you didn't get it, this story started off with Shizuku sitting with her parents in the kitchen when they are having the talk about her not doing well in school. Thanks for reading. Review. Flames are welcome. I like criticism.
