Death Note- Wisdom

I watched as he was shot by one of our fellow police members, Matsuda, before he shot one last time and missed apparently. I stood off to the side and watched as Light tried to get up and failing until he succeeded and walked to the door and opened it, stumbling outside.

"I'll be back" I told Near. He stared at me before nodding "Do as you wish" He said. He was so much like L…I couldn't stand it half the time. I shook my head of those thoughts as I walked through the same door Light did. I could see his figure stumbling away. I continued to walk towards him, not too close though, before I saw him turn into an abandoned factory. I raised an eyebrow "Wonder why he went in there?" I questioned but followed him inside. When I walked in I looked around to see him lying on a staircase. He looked up, weakly, and stared at me.

"V-Valona…help me" He murmured. I walked over to him and smiled sadly at him "I unfortunately cannot Light, I'm sorry I truly am but there's nothing more I can do." I said. He continued to stare at me his breathing getting heavier by the second.

"I-I'm sorry…" He murmured. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to" I said thinking of everybody that he's killed and hurt in the process. "I-I know…I-I w-wanted to t-tell you t-that I'm s-sorry for k-killing h-him…k-killing L" He stuttered. I stared at him "Thanks, I guess, but still I'm not the one you should be apologizing to" I said. "You know I did believe that you could've been a great ruler Light. But you just let power corrupt you along the way, but it's not your fault. We're human and we can't help but let power go to our heads. Anyways, if you hadn't killed innocent people Light then I believe you would've been alright" I said looking at him. I saw that his eyes were closed and his breathing had ceased. He was dead.

I bit my lip "I guess it's over, I guess L really did win in the end even though he's dead" I thought as I walked out of the factory. Life should be turning back to normal for everybody, but not for me…. no… never for me.
