You awaken with a startle, you're at home in bed and everything is as it should be. Nothing out of place, nothing out of the ordinary. You hear a strange buzzing noise, almost as if a distant fly is making its way towards you, and it grows softer as the minutes pass until it is completely gone. Now, now there is only silence, sweet, sweet silence. Only, the sweet silence is a bit too silent to be sweet.
Fully awake, you feel a bit thirsty, so you walk to the kitchen to get some water. There it is again, the buzzing noise. Louder than before, but quiet enough. "Where is that coming from?" you ask yourself, the question wanting to be answered sooner than later. The sound grows louder this time and a figure appears at the end of the hall. Statue? No. You could see its chest rise and fall, but ever so slowly. It seems to be human, but it acts as if it is something else.
"Hello?" The figure gradually approaches, revealing itself, its face smooth and piercing lasers at you with the eyes it didn't possess and a mouth that would stretch from ear to ear, if it had ears. Its head a simple, white oval, skinless lips spilling darkness like tainted blood down its chin. Suddenly, your heart begins to race against your lungs as looking at it for too long induced fear in your veins.
It seems to try to speak, but only the same eerie sound. "What are you?" you ask, hoping for some form of answer. The creature makes no response, it just stands there and watches you as if you were the creature. You, feeling of dread, turn to run in a attempt to escape this forsaken abnormality, but to no avail. It extends its arm to reach you with its cold, black hand, pulling you towards the thing you ran from. It turns you around as you freeze in shock and terror, trying to escape is no longer possible; you accept your fate and wait. It opens its mouth yet another time, but now sound seeps out. "I ma etum, eht rekees fo tsol sluos, reruoved fo luos drahs dna nekorb smaerd. Won evael em sel' uoy hsiw fo htaed." Ever so slowly, it places its hand over your face and your world goes black.
