QS: I decided to write, sort of balled-style, the happenings of Harry Potter in poem form… in assorted poems. This is the first, and I hope you enjoy it.

Several years ago,
the Dursleys of Privet Drive
had to endure
an 'abnormal' surprise
They did not know it,
but during the night before last,
the most feared man in the wizarding world
had fallen at last
But, sadly, the dark lord
wasn't the only to fall.
Petunia Dursley's sister, Lily Potter, died
along with her brother-in-law
The Dursleys' feelings towards the Potters
weren't exactly what you'd call kind…
for the Potters were what they'd call 'abnormal'…
'cause they were of the wizarding kind
Then the great Albus Dumbledore
had to decide
what to do with
what the Potters left behind
And that is how it came to happen
that the Dursleys found on their step
the lonely baby Harry Potter
the only Potter left.
