Reunited
On a cloudless night, Mary Lynette enjoyed going up onto the hill and looking at the stars. Somehow it made her feel a little better throughout this last year. It was hander than she thought it would be, being away from Ash. But she knew she had needed the last year to grow up and find out who she was. Now she was ready.
But she knew Ash had needed time to figure out what he wanted and if he really wanted to be stuck with a human.
"You know I want that more than anything," a voice called. Mary Lynette sat up and saw someone she didn't expect to see standing there. Ash Redfern. He was back. She stood up quickly.
"Ash what you doing here?" she asked, unable to stop staring. He looked just like she remembered. His blonde hair was a gorgeous mess as usual and he was wearing a pair of white jeans and a black t-shirt. He had a small smile on his lips. His eyes changed colours quickly; going from silver, to yellow, to blue before turning violet.
"I told you I would come back. Are you saying that you don't want me no more?" he asked. Mary Lynette could see a little sadness in his features when he asked that. "No! Of course I still want you here. I love you," she told him, whispering the last few words.
He should know that by now, she thought to herself. He looked at her, and the sadness disappeared in a second. He grinned. She smiled back at him. Using his vampire speed he reached for her and pulled her into his arms. He hid his face in her hair and seemed to be smelling her.
I just wanted to make sure, I love you too, he whispered through the bond as he brought his lips down onto hers.
