Chapter One
It was barely dawn, but James was awake, no thanks to Sirius. His best friend was moaning in his sleep, James could only think that he was either having a wet dream or chasing rabbits in his sleep, with Sirius you could never tell.
Sighing in irritation James rubbed his sleep filled eyes and reached for his glasses on his bed side table, casually patting his hand around looking for his glasses. As James pats his desk he hears something fall on to the floor, starting to get annoyed now James finally locates his glasses, and places them on the bridge of his noes and yawns.
Streching James reaches to the floor and picks up a small brown envelope that has his name written in elegant emerald green ink. Not thinking, checking for traps or things that could cause problems for James, he opens the envelope and starts to read:
Potter
You hate me, you pick on me, you annoy me, and yet I love you.
I'm a possessive person by nature, I like things that are mine to stay mine, to not have others touch it. Even if those things aren't even mine yet. So when I see her all over you it makes me want to hex both of you. Stupid Good For Nothing Amazingly Handsome Potter. How can you not see what you do to me?
Fuck, I hate this, you're not even mine, you are hers so why am I unable to give you up.
I'm sorry that I've always been in your way, but it gives me a reason to see you, even if it just means that you'll find another way to jinx me.
You will be mine Potter, I'll see to that.
As James reads the letter he tries to determine who the sender was, but no name was left, no hint of who it could be. James felt creeped out that someone was watching him sleep, left this for him and could have done other things to him, but at the same time James felt happy. Happy to know that there was someone who wanted him, someone who loves him... no wait, is possessive of him. It made James feel desirable.
