Summary: A little nursery rhyme about Jack's fiddling and Sam's attempt to curb the habit.
A/note: I was at work, sorting the Almonds, and this popped into my fron. Who knew Almonds were so inspiring? My first attempt at a rhyme. Sympathy for Zara, because she stuffed up her hand. Thank you Adi for betaing :) Enjoy!

~ The Fiddler and the Fool ~

The fiddler of this little spiel,
And the fool for your laughter,
Is one Colonel Jack O'Neill,
And Major Sam Carter.

Now the lovely Miss Carter,
Is as smart as they come,
Only Dr. Rodney McKay,
Would darecall her dumb.

It was Monday morning,
And in her lab, Sam sat,
When her Colonel; the fiddler,
Came down for a chat.

"Carter! Good morning!"
The Colonel did greet,
And sauntered into her lab,
With a small bounce in his feet.

"Sir, hello there!"
Major Carter did say,
A polite smile and a nod,
That was always the way.

The Colonel just grinned,
And gave an artefact a poke,
Oh, her poor doohickies!
He never leaves them alone!

But Sam had a plan;
She was sneaky and sly.
And now she could ensure,
That her doohickies survived!

She grabbed Jack's collar,
And dragged him around.
Sam searched through her desk,
'Til her solution was found.

"Aha!" she cried loudly,
turning back to her boss,
And dear Colonel Jack,
He was quite at a loss!

It was a puzzle! A cube!
A challenge, no doubt.
He plucked it from her fingers
Wondering what this was about.

"Now listen here Sir,
And you listen real good."
Sam waggled her finger,
So her Colonel understood.

"I'm sick of my stuff,
Being touched and broken.
You're forbidden from my lab,
'Til that is solved! Now get goin'!"

The Colonel simply shrugged
And ran away with the cube.
Leaving poor Sam to wonder,
How long it would take him to do.

Tuesday and Wednesday,
Then Thursday went by,
Sam heard zip from her Colonel.
He didn't even stop and say 'hi'!

'He'll never solve that puzzle',
Sam thought with a yawn.
When she looked at the time,
She found it was dawn!

Sam left for the commissary,
In search of caffeine.
She needed it! No, really!
She was junkie! A fiend!

And find it she did,
A hot coffee: freshly ground.
Then back Sam went,
With a leap and a bound.

When Sam came to her lab,
She squeaked in fright.
The cube was on her desk,
All solved and all right!

When she came closer,
On a sticky note in blue
