She sat illuminated by the soft blue glow of her computer monitor, typing ferverantly away. His words reverberated through her mind even still, though the encounter had been hours earlier.

You can be God, too. You can be like me.

I am you. You are me.

Return to me. Return to your God.

She brushed auburn strands from in front of her verdant eyes. She was the painter, creating long brushstrokes of wires and circuits on the canvas, the motherboard of the mind. Plug here, receptor there, and now finished. Her eyelids grew heavy, her mind weary. Fin.

The phone on the table rang one last time, then silence. She was alone again, with only her thoughts to sustain her through the long arduous night.

Alone... alone with her God and the world she had created from dots and dashes.
