Holly blushed madly as she unzipped her uniform. It amazed her that she couldn't stop staring at Artemis. She tried hard to close her eyes, but they wouldn't shut. Artemis looked even more embarrassed then her. They sheepishly locked fingers...

Close your eyes, give me your hand

Holly was sure that Artemis could feel how fast her pulse was. If only he knew the true reason. She mustn't think about the real reason though, they were on a mission.

Do you feel my heart beating, do you understand?

Holly was surprised by how fast his pulse was going, she dared not look at his face, but she chanced a quick glance. His eyes weren't exactly closed were they?

Do you feel the same, or am I only dreaming

Their skin was hot and sweaty, both felt like they were burning up. Perhaps from something more then embarrassment...

Or is this burning an eternal flame?

The tension built between the two. They were remembering the day when they went into that retched time tunnel, when they had shared a kiss... it was a terribly awkward silence in the shuttle. Until...

"Holly?" Artemis gently called her name. It felt like a flower had bloomed inside her.

Say my name! Sun shines through the rain

"Yes.." She answered. Then Artemis did something truly unexpected. He pressed the auto Pilate and forced Holly to look at him, his features were soft.

"Why did you kiss me?" She wanted to tell him everything, how much she appreciated him, how much he had changed her life... for the better.

A whole life, so lonely, then you come to ease the pain

"Well I uh," she looked down for a moment "I love you, of course as a good friend, nothing more." But Artemis smiled, he knew it meant more. He pulled her into a hug, she felt like she was floating with his warm, strong arms encircling her.

I don't want to lose this feeling!
