A/N: So this is a one-shot tagged to "Justice Served". The lyrics at the beginning are taken from the song Healing Begins by Tenth Avenue North, which is where I got the title.

Disclaimer: I don't own Blue Bloods, You Again, or even the title.

Eddie hopped into the shower, hoping the water would wash away the memories. But it never did. No matter how hot or cold the water was, no matter how hard she scrubbed, the feeling of his hands still lingered. No matter how many scented scrubs she used, she still smelled his cologne. No matter how many lights she turned on, no matter how many doors she locked, she was always afraid. And it had been almost a week.

She stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around her body. She towel dried her hair, and threw on a t-shirt two sizes too big for her, and some gym shorts. She stepped into the living room, staring at an empty spot on the table. She had gotten rid of the broken lamp so she wouldn't be reminded, but every time she saw the empty space, she realized the lamp may as well be there. Because the space on the table wasn't empty after all. It help pain, suffering, and fear.

Knock Knock

Eddie jumped at the sound, and then shook her head in shame. Seems like everything startled her now. She looked through the peephole, and smiled. She un-did the deadbolt, unlocked the door, and opened it.

"Hey stranger."

Eddie laughed. "Hey yourself."

"Well, I was bored, so I thought, 'Hey. Why not spend a night in with my awesome yet annoying partner?' So what do you say?"

Eddie pretended to think about it. She looked down at the bag in his hand, and saw two small sized cartons of ice cream peeking out. "Is that chocolate?"

"Of course. I wouldn't show up at your apartment with anything but chocolate."

Eddie laughed and pulled him in by his arm.

So you thought you had to keep this up. All the walls you build up, are just glass on the outside.

One they were inside, Jamie set the bag down on the counter. "I also got a movie."

Eddie rifled through the bag. "You Again? I never took you for the romantic-comedy type Reagan."

"Hey in my defense, the lady at the rental place recommended it."

Eddie laughed . "Sure. Do you want to go ahead and put it in?"

Jamie nodded and crossed the room to her DVD player.

Eddie opened a drawer and pulled out two spoons. She took the lids off the cartons and stuck a spoon in each tub. Then she picked the up and joined Jamie, who had just sat down on the couch. She handed him one carton and kept the other. She pulled a blanket over their laps and relaxed as the movie started.

As the movie went on, Eddie got braver. Maybe it was doubling her normal intake of sugar, but halfway through the movie, she was curled up into Jamie's side. It wasn't long before she felt herself slowly drifting off to sleep, but right before she went under, she felt Jamie plant a kiss on the top of her head. The last thing she heard was his whispered sentence in her ear.

"We're going to be okay."

This is where the healing begins, this is where the healing starts. When you come to where you're broken within, the light meets the dark. The light meets the dark.

Eddie woke up and looked around her surroundings. She was curled up on her couch. She felt Jamie steadily breathe beneath her, and she smiled. She glanced at the clock and it read 2:00 am. The TV screen was blue, and because of the light it was giving off, she saw the ice cream cartons that they had abandoned on her coffee table. She smiled.

Chocolate ice cream, a movie, and a night in with her partner wasn't going to make everything better.

But it sure was a start.

A/N: If you haven't seen the movie "You Again" you totally should. And you should totally listen to "The Healing Begins" by Tenth Avenue North. And you should totally review. Just saying.
