The Revan
Once upon a starship dreary, the Republic, weak and weary,
Had a Jedi and a reason that they might complete the war
While I slumbered, so enticing, suddenly there came a dicing,
As of some one gently slicing, slicing at my barracks door.
"'Tis an enemy," I muttered, "slicing at my barracks door-
Only this and nothing more."
.
So distinctly I was learning from a man who was returning;
It was Ulgo, he was yearning that we might escape and more
Eagerly he wished for Taris; vainly I was much embarassed
For I didn't know that name, or how to navigate the floor
Oh, the rare and helpful Ulgo who conferred on me the lore -
Exposition evermore.
.
And the soldier, Carth Onasi, met within that starship chassis
Said our lowly soldier nature was the kind that Sith ignore
And we worked upon that basis on a planet full of racists
We were visitors, inquisitive of anyone we saw:
(With a very useful astromech we purchased at a store)
"Did a Jedi pass, before?"
.
We descended to the Under, where the gangs and Rakghouls plunder
And a teenager and Wookie rent asunder fat Gamorr'
They helped quicken up our pacing, and they entered us in racing
Racing speederbikes to win the prize that we were searching for
Racing speederbikes to save the Jedi who could end the war
Bastila, and no-one more.
.
She was less than keen to meet us, though her captors could not beat us,
Even Sith could not defeat us as we gave them fights galore,
But although our hopes had faded with the planet so blockaded,
We were saved by intervention of a son of Mandalore,
Took a crimelord to the cleaners with a son of Mandalore,
And the Ebon Hawk did soar.
.
With a wave of swift inciters came a hurricane of fighters
And I shot down all the blighters (though I do not know what for)
But at night, when I was sleeping, I beheld a Sith Lord creeping
Dressed in armour meant for reaping souls and soldiers, still and sore
And I witnessed all the Sith Lord did on every planet's shore,
It was Revan that I saw.
.
Onto Dantooine we landed, and my knowledge swift expanded
Of the Force and all its mysteries I wanted to explore
Though my time was hardly idle, I began to deeply bridle
At the mass of kath and kinrath and the sons of Mandalore
Then in sight of verdant meadows, I beheld an ancient door,
And proceeded to the core.
.
Obligated to bewilder by the temple's ancient builder,
Robots filled a questionnaire to test awareness of before,
With a careful estimation of the Sith Lord's situation
I expertly navigated all their queries of the war,
With dilemmas and high towers and equations by the score,
Brutal answers to abhor.
.
With a sudden brilliant lustre, I beheld the local cluster,
And the stars of all the galaxy projected from the floor
It was Bastila's position that the system's recognition
And the Sith Lord's base sedition meant a map we could restore
To a factory of ancient make, a stellar carnivore
Endless armies, evermore.
.
And the Revan, never speaking, still is hidden, still is sneaking
Still is plotting for the end of the Republic I adore
And the mask beneath the curving of the hood is deep unnerving
And the Dark Side in the distance marches closer to our shore,
And the soul beneath that armour must be dark as darkest core
So the Revan - evermore!
