"You were drunk?" Callie exclaimed, sitting up to look down at Arizona. "That whole speech with the…there will be people lining up for you...and...I think you'll know…and...you were drunk?"
Arizona shifted in bed, a light blush coloring her fair-skinned cheeks. "Well…I wouldn't say…drunk. Maybe a little…buzzed. Just a little buzzed I mean, I came up with that awesome speech didn't I."
"That- that…" Callie stuttered, "that is not awesome...or...or…super."
Arizona laughed lightly, reaching over to gently pull Callie on top of her. The soft swish of the paisley sheets they both lay under was the only sound in the blissfully quiet room.
"Calliope, do you know what is awesome and super?" Arizona asked, reaching up to brush some of Callie's hair behind her ear.
"No but I think you're going to tell me. I've noticed you have this thing with control."
"I do not." Arizona interrupted
"Oh really? So, the pinning my hand against the shower wall and the making-out against the wall that was just...what?"
"I…you…" Arizona paused a small smirk coming across her face as she slid her hands slowly up the back of Callie's thighs and even higher until she had slipped her hands under the scrub top Callie was wearing. "Don't pretend like you don't like it."
"Maybe" Callie whispered, her milk chocolate eyes darkening to the color of coffee with no cream.
Arizona smiled as she began to trace random shapes on the caramel colored skin beneath her fingertips.
"What is both awesome and super is that you made me nervous."
"What?" Callie asked her eyes shifting to Arizona's lips then back up to her eyes. "What?" she asked again clearing her throat.
"You made me nervous. There was this miraculous…breathtaking woman a few feet away from me and I was too nervous to go talk to her. Even though I really really wanted to and even though I rarely get nervous. So, I might've been a little buzzed because I ordered a few drinks. But, I mean…obviously…it's your fault for being so…absolutely stunning."
Callie laughed lightly, leaning down to press her lips to Arizona's. The kiss slowly deepening as Arizona began to pull Callie's scrub top off.
"Torres. McManwhore is here." Christina called from the living room.
Callie looked over her shoulder as Mark opened the door to her bedroom, rolling off Arizona and pulling down her shirt.
Arizona let out a soft sigh. Her eyes widening as Mark walked over lying on top of the covers. Callie scooting over to make room for him which forced her to the edge of the bed.
This really wasn't going to work for her.
