Standard Disclaimer applies. I don't own the characters. I do, however, own the secretary, but that doesn't really count for much. This is sorta-kinda-not really set after my other story Thank You For Being a Friend. I hope you enjoy.
"LOOK!! It squiggles and moves!!"
Seto Kaiba rolled his eyes at his partners antics. Katsuya Jonouchi was squealing like a small child hyped up on helium and was quickly giving the young CEO a migraine the size of a small tropical island.
"And look!" he gushed again. "It gets bigger!! And smaller... And bigger!! And it spins!!"
Why, Seto thought to himself, rubbing his temples, did I ever suggest coming to my office? Why, in the name of all that is holy, unholy, or otherwise, WHY?!
"And it has colors!!"
If it had only been someone like Otogi, or Bakura, or, hell, even Yugi would have been a step in the right direction...but Jonouchi??
"Hey, Kaiba? Does this thing have sounds?"
Yes. There's a particular one I like. It sounds like a computer bashing someone over the head! he thought viciously.
"Yes," he said aloud, reaching over the blond and grabbing the mouse. "Here." He clicked an icon and leaned back, letting the five-year-old (well, 16-year-old, but Seto was severely beginning to doubt that) play with sound.
"Don't break anything. I'm just stepping out for a moment," he said to the blond, who was so enraptured on his computer, he did not even acknowledge him.
Sighing, Seto walked out of the office and leaned against the door.
His secretary looked up from her typing. "He has never seen PowerPoint?"
"Never!" he barked, fighting down a growl. "I honestly don't know how much more of this I can take before I kill him."
His secretary smiled slightly and resumed her typing. "I'm sure he can't keep that up forever."
A buzz came from the intercom. "Hey, Kaiba? You wanna come back in here and do something? I feel like I'm doin' all the work here."
Seto's eyes snapped open. "That little son of a..." He wrenched the door open and stormed in, slamming it shut.
The blond still had his hand on the intercom. "Well, I thought maybe you wanted me to do all the work. I mean, it ain't fair, but I figured maybe the great Seto Kaiba couldn't do such menial–AAAAAGH!!"
The secretary looked up momentarily toward the door. She could not hear anything now that the intercom was off. She hesitated a moment before shaking her head and resuming her work.
Those children will work it out in the end, she thought to herself, even as she heard a faint–"Oof!"–and a thud on the wall. She laughed softly to herself. Little boys...
