"Well, that was a hectic night!" exclaimed Delia with a sigh as she plopped down in the front seat of the Wish Catering van after her and Monica, Bert, and Wes had just finished a catering job at a cocktail party for Deborah Queen.

"No kidding," said Wes as he put the van in gear and started driving back to Delia's house.

"Hey, guys?" piped up Bert from the backseat, "Did anyone leave this book in here?"

"What's it called?" asked Delia.

"The Truth About Forever,"

"Nope, doesn't sound familiar," replied Delia.

"Definitely not, I wouldn't read that!" said Wes. After Wes said that, Bert turned to look at Monica, who shook her head.

"Huh, must be Kristy's," Bert said, "Shall we read it? It's about a girl named Macy!" Bert said while skimming the summary on the back cover.

"What does the summary say?" asked Delia, sounding interested.

Expect the unexpected. Macy's got her whole summer carefully planned. But her plans didn't include a job at Wish Catering.

"Hey!" Bert exclaimed, "That's us!"

"Bert, just continue reading," Delia sighed, her exhaustion getting the best of her.

And they certainly didn't include Wes. But Macy soon discovers that the things you expect least are sometimes the things you need most.

"Well, should we call Kristy and start reading? This sounds eerily like something out of our life," said Wes.

"Aww, you just wanna find out more about Macy!" said Delia, nudging him with her shoulder. "But we should call her in the morning, okay?"
