Aaa, the Slytherin girl is at it again…A short work this time. Very short. 268 words, to be exact. ^^; Slashy…though not in the way you would come to expect from me. Harry is mentioned once here, and its not pairing him with anyone. ^^

anti nostalgic

It's funny, the way you don't notice something until it's too late.

Like the way you realize the curse being flung at you just seconds before it hits and you have no way of stopping it.

Or the way the prospect of love stares you in the face for six years straight and you don't see it. That small, twinkling light of something that might be, if only you had seen it before.

Because once you finally see it, it's too late. Gone. And because its doesn't matter, even if you had seen it. She wouldn't have seen it. Why should I have?

Because, really, what good is love, in the long run? A way to hurt. The deeper the love, the deeper the hurt.

Why suffer that?

Because it is a necessary evil.

Brown eyes laugh, and red hair slides over one shoulder, teasing me. I long to touch that hair in more than a friendly way…

But what would she say? What would they all say?

'She's a good kid. If anyone touches her, I'll kill them.' Six older brothers. At the risk of the infamous Weasley Wrath, I'm quite content to sit in my corner, emotions hidden behind the ever-present book.

But more importatnly…she herself. What would she think? We all know the way she looks at him, it's impossible to deny that.

For six years she's been 'Ron's little sister.' And now…just days before graduation. Suddenly she's 'Ginny Weasley.'

It's best that they don't know, anyway.

Because, really, who would have ever thought…

Hermione Granger might love a Weasley that isn't Ron?

Tee hee… it's a Hermione+Ginny. The title doesn't really fit, but..there it is. 20 House points to anyone who can guess where the title is from. ^__^ Sadly HG/GW isnt a very common pairing…hell, there isnt much yuri in Harry fics at all.

Grrrlz of the fandom unite! We all know Hermione is way to brilliant to be straight…Ron is no good for her! More 'Mione/Ginny! Ron can have…well, Ron can have a nice little three-some with Harry and Draco….or is that just my sick little fan-girl fantasies?

Well. Either way. I had fun writing this, short as it is (I think this is the shortest I've ever done) and I rather plan on doing a few more. Maybe throw in a Padma/Lavender…they seem the type to…experiment. Gods knows they aren't bright enough to actually for someone based on anything besides 'the size of his wand'.
