I sat in my room. Leo still hadn't shown up. We were starting to think he died. But that couldn't be. He could pull through. I was still worried, though.

I heard a knock on my cabin door. "Come in." I said.

Annabeth walked in my room. She had tons of injuries from the battle a few days prior. She walked with a slight limp and there was a still healing cut on her forehead. In other words, she was beautiful.

"Couldn't sleep?" I asked gently.

"Yeah."

"Me neither." I said. I was getting used to this. It was happening every night.

Annabeth came in and sat next to me where I was sitting on my (blue) couch. I put my arm around her. She put her head on my shoulder.

"I can't believe we beat Gaia." I said

"Me neither." She said quietly.

"I can't help but feel that it's not over, that we'll still have to beat more ancient and evil beings."

"It'll never be over. We'll never be completely safe." She told me.

"But at least we have each other." I said.

"At least we have each other." She agreed.

"I love you Annabeth." I said truthfully. I would end my life forever her. She was what made me turn down the offer of immortality. She was the one who saved me from the River Styx.

"I love you too." She told me.

"Let's go to bed." I said.

"Let's."

We went to bed and snuggled with each other. With Annabeth at my side, I felt content. I loved her so much. I closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep, with dreams of mine and Annabeth's future together. Sure we would always have the danger of monsters over our heads. That would never stop, but at least we had each other.

THE NEXT DAY

"Percy, Percy, wake up!" I heard Annabeth's voice.

I groaned. "What time is it?" I asked, my voice raspy from sleep.

"Who cares!" She told me. You'll never believe who's outside." She told me excitedly.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Just get up and see!" She told me. She led me outside and to the mess hall.

There, sitting on the Hephaestus table, with his arm around a pretty girl, was a rather scrawny and elfish boy. The boy was conversing with Jason, Piper, Frank and Hazel.

My face broke out into a grin. "Hey Leo, Calypso!" I yelled.
