Title: To the Future

Summery: Sakura dreams urge her to plan ahead to ensure the cards and their guardians have a new friend and a happy life.
Sakura slowly blinked her eyelids as she awoke from a deep sleep. Upon hearing Kero snoring away quite happily in his drawer-room she glanced at her clock to see it was only 5am. On a Sunday too! The only day she could actually sleep in and she'd wasted it.
"Mou" she mumbled to herself as she settled back into her pillows, "All because of that dream..." Suddenly she remembered the reason she was up at such an awful hour. A dream of a future cardcaptor.
It had to be. She recalled seeing Kero calmly explaining to a bemused teenage boy about the Sakura Cards (and ignoring his mumblings about them being so girly). Then the young boy desperately trying to explain the staff in his hands to his two friends after having just caught a card. Right down to Yue appearing, as cold looking as always, complaining about the boys lack of power; "Even our previous mistress had more power than you and she was only ten years old". However the boy had still passed Yue's judgement somehow.
This didn't really worry Sakura. After all, her life was just filled with strange happenings. One thing did maker her curious though, and that was why she was having these dreams at 17 years old. Her magic would help her live a long life, she knew. An unnaturally long life if she so chose. So surely it was a bit early to start thinking about the Cards' next master.
Slowly she padded over to her desk and grabbed the book of cards that lay on top of it. Opening it as she lay back down on the bed she rested her palm on top of the cards and smiled at the feeling of warmth and happiness she felt from them.
"Well," she told them as she removed her hand. "Who am I to deny you all happiness and new friends? If I plan and act now I can rest comfortably knowing you'll be alright no matter what happens to me." She could have sworn that she'd felt the feeling of warmth swell a little at those words. Smiling she closed the book and placed it on her shelf. "And not just anyone," she told herself as she settled back down into the bed. "They have to be nice, and kind. Friendly, and willing to take a scratch or two if they're going to catch the cards..." slowly she drifted back to sleep ready to use her dreams to see if this young boy really had what it'd take to be the next cardcaptor.
After all, nothing less than the best for her friends!
End
So, what'd you think? My first ever Cardcaptor Sakura story. Personally I think it sucked a bit. Not the worst story I've read/written, but certainly not the best.
If you liked it, or if you detested it, REVIEW... please...
