Severa woke up to the sound of a door closing. Her, Iniabi, and the rest of the wives' bedroom door, to be more precise. Slowly, she pushed herself to a seated position, her hand already reaching underneath her pillow for the small dagger she usually carried around in her uniform for added protection, just before Iniabi appeared in the doorway, a sheepish look on his face as he held up... a picnic basket.
"Iniabi!" Severa snarled in frustration.
She carefully placed the dagger back under the pillow as she glanced at the sundial on the wall. Eight AM. Eight AM on the one day of the year where she could take a personal day off from her duties as one of the Queens of Ylisse and the Commander of the Pegasus Knights.
"I hope you brought some coffee." Severa muttered grumpily.
She groaned, flopped back onto the rather large and wide bed, and pressed her hands over her eyes.
"Why are you here? I thought our date wasn't until this afternoon." Severa asked.
"Sorry." Iniabi replied.
Her husband really did look sorry, prompting Severa to sigh and give him a small smile of reassurance. Iniabi approached the bed, sat himself on the edge, and shuffled close to his wife, who's place was on the far right corner, putting the picnic basket on the other side of her.
"I thought we could make it a breakfast date instead." Iniabi replied.
"A breakfast date?" Severa asked in confusion.
Iniabi nodded and started to unpack the basket. It was full of tarts, hot beverages, and cooled meats. Severa appreciated both the castle chefs for obviously preparing them and her husband for going out of his way to focus on her specifically out of the other wives at the moment, but she was also irritable because she was missing out on free sleep on her free day off.
"Iniabi?" Severa asked.
She groaned, stretching her arms over her head. She loved how Iniabi's eyes followed her arms, clearly appreciating the muscles and curves that were poorly concealed through her pajama tanktop.
"It's my day off and I really don't want to get up. In fact, I think we should stay in this bed all day." Severa said tiredly.
Iniabi stared at the dark blonde haired girl for a few moments, before nodding and putting the food back into the basket.
"Very well, Sev. We can do that if you want." Iniabi said.
Severa grinned, brushing some of her messy dark blonde locks out of her hair, and patted the spot next to her.
"Good... now come here." Severa ordered.
