Does anyone else think it's completely stupid that as soon as I make a one shot about Katara and Aang having a new beginning that Kataang week comes up and the first thing is "beginnings"? I must be psychic.. Anyway enjoy this pointless little Kataang thing since my good idea was already used for a random one shot! Screw you universe. And if you want to support me further, I have a facebook page and other stories!

Katara knew a lot about beginnings. Her life was constantly changing. All those years ago, she lost her mother and her life changed. She began her life as the stand in mother and nothing was the same. Then she met Aang and her life had never changed so drastically. She left everything behind to travel the world and learn waterbending with the young Avatar.

Then, the war ended and life changed once again. This time, she came out with her first relationship and a new life with peace. So yes, Katara did know about beginnings. They never stopped in her life. Though, she supposed that was good. Life never got boring.

She ran her comb threw her hair again. She couldn't get her hair to sit perfectly and it was killing her. Suki even gave up trying to do her hair. Katara was getting frustrated! "Having some problems, Sweetness?" Toph asked walking into the room. She was dressed in a simple light blue dress. The color, thankfully, complemented her. Not that Toph was concerned about that. She was blind after all.

"Can't you see that?" Katara asked moving her hair around some more. She didn't even catch her mistake since she was so absorbed in her worry.

"I'll let that one slide," Toph said sitting down next to her, "You just need to calm down. You're going to worry yourself sick…not that I care or anything," Toph rushed the last part. Toph was blind but she was sure Katara looked perfectly fine the way she was. Ever since they met, she could tell she was pretty. Every time they would walk past a guy, his heart would race. Toph could also tell because Aang told her every single day. It was really annoying to Toph.

"I am completely calm!" she said throwing her comb down. Her hair had finally bended to her will. It figures the one day that she needs her hair to comply that it wouldn't.

"Do you remember what happened last time you said that?" Toph asked grinning. The last time Katara made that comment, she was bugging out while being chased by Azula and her group.

Katara sighed and fixed her white dress again. She wanted it to fall perfectly. "I really am calm though," Katara lied. Toph shook her head and pointed to her feet, reminding Katara that she could tell if she was lying. "Fine, I'm nervous."

Toph nodded, "I don't know why though, it's Twinkle Toes!" Toph belched loudly and straightened her bun. She told Katara already that she didn't care what was going on, her hair wasn't coming down. "I can see why you'd be nervous about afterwards, but I'm sure he's…."

"Toph," Katara interrupted her abruptly, "Please do not finish that sentence." Katara's eyebrow twitched. She did not need Toph talking about sex on her wedding day. She had already tortured her and Aang to no end because they had the most nonexistent love life ever since Toph didn't count kissing. She knew Toph was dying to make a ton of jokes about Katara's wedding night.

"Whatever," Toph yawned. Katara and Aang had the most boring life ever. They went to peace meetings and when they had free time, they did absolutely nothing together but sit around and talk. Toph only caught them making out a few times. It was infuriating to Toph! She had to have something to make fun of them about.

"Katara," Hakoda stood in the doorway, "Are you ready?" Toph jumped up and patted Katara on the back awkwardly before leaving. Katara stood up and faced her father. He was smiling sadly and offering her his hand. "You look so much like your mother," he took her hand but then dropped it to bring her into a hug. "You're beautiful."

"Thanks Dad," Katara smiled into her father's chest. She was going to miss him even more. Something about getting married seemed final. It was like saying 'I love you and all but I'm just going to leave now. See you whenever.' She and Aang had been traveling around with their friends for a while now. They all had important parts in the peace meetings after all. But now, things were calming down and meetings became less and less frequent. That meant traveling with friends would come to an end, especially now that they were getting married.

"Let's not keep everyone waiting," he said grabbing her hand again. She put her other hand on his forearm. They entered the room with all the guests and she saw Aang waiting for her in his nicest robes. He got them specially made for today since he owned nothing water tribe and he swore they were going to have a water tribe wedding though their wedding was in Ba Sing Sa (because it was where they got together). It was partially because he had never seen an air nomad wedding and couldn't replicate it.

But after she saw Aang, she remembered nothing of her wedding until the kiss that sealed their marriage. It was soft and probably the sweetest thing Katara had ever experienced. And Aang's goofy smile topped it all off.

"Katara!" Toph yelled again. Katara's eyes lost their glazed look and she turned towards Toph, "I've been calling you for five minutes!" Toph stomped her foot on the ground and crossed her arms, "You know day dreaming about tonight won't make it happen any faster."

Katara snorted, "That was not what I was thinking about. I was thinking about how much things are going to change now." Katara absentmindedly sipped some drink and crossed her legs. Aang had left a few minutes ago to prepare Appa for their journey.

"Yeah, I guess they are," Toph picked at her fingernails. Talking to Katara required effort and understanding. And Toph was exceptionally lazy. Katara just stared at the girl, knowing that she couldn't see her. She was really of no use sometimes.

"Katara," Aang put a hand on her shoulder. Hearing his voice put a smile on her face no matter what. It was one of the great things about him: his happiness was contagious. "Everything's ready."

"Okay," She smiled and pecked him on the cheek. Toph moaned from her chair across the table. She ignored Toph and stood up, grabbing Aang's hand. They didn't even say goodbye to anyone, they were on Appa in no time. Everyone would understand, except Sokka of course.

The night air was chilly and being high in the air probably didn't help anything. It was spring and it was the time of year Aang insisted on marrying. He was weird about some things. "So where are we going?" Katara finally asked. She and Aang were sitting on Appa's head together, wrapped in each other's arms.

"The Southern Air Temple," Aang smiled. Aang had spent a few months restoring the place to its former glory. He wouldn't let anyone else help either. Katara begged for days but he said she would be filling in as Avatar for him during the meetings. And now, she would finally get to see it.

"Really?" Katara asked skeptically. Aang had been persistent about having no help and letting no one see and now they were just going there for their honeymoon. No big deal.

"You really didn't catch the theme of this wedding did you?" She just stared at him. Aang had insisted that he get to plan the time and location of the wedding, "I planned it for spring, our honeymoon is going to be in a place that's newly restored, we wed in Ba Sing Se, where we first got together…" he trailed off hoping she would catch the hint. "You're no fun. I'll just have to spell it out," Aang smiled and kissed her forehead, "I wanted everything to be centered on beginnings. A wedding is already a new beginning but I wanted to make it even more so. How often does your life change that much? So I planned everything for spring, the time when everything becomes new again. Understand now?"

Katara smiled and teared up some. He really thought it all through. She never thought of it like that. Now everything new in their life was going to be rolled in one. Their new marriage, their new home, their new life, it was all together right now. And it didn't even become fully realized to her until now. Her life was changing so much again. Nothing ever remained the same for them.

It was spring: The time for weddings. And it was time for yet more beginnings. But Katara didn't think she would mind all these new changes in her life and relationship. Most people were scared of change but Katara had learned to accept it. It if weren't for beginnings, amazing things could never unfold. And both Katara and Aang knew this was definitely going to unfold into something amazing. And Katara knew every moment of it would count.

And in Katara's mind: The end is inevitable and the middle is fun, but without beginnings, everything would cease to exist. And she certainly did not mind any of it as long as Aang was there.

Blah, I'm never satisfied with my work. I edited it like a billion times but you know. Review and stuff!
