December 15, Bobby's house.

"That's the last ornament," Sam Winchester said as he put a wooden beaver on the seven foot spruce tree in Bobby Singer's living room. The tree was covered in multicolor lights, a large assortment of red glass balls of various sizes and a few random wooden animals, that Bobby had carved while snowed in one winter. "I don't know Sammy, I feel the tree is still missing something." Dean Winchester confessed to his younger brother.

"I think it needs a star or something for the top," Sam confessed, "I could make one out of tin foil from the kitchen. Speaking of which I should check on the stew Cass has on the stove." Sam walked out of the living room and into the small dark kitchen.

Dean was about to sit down with a magazine in one of Bobby's old chairs, when an amazing idea struck him. "Hey, Cass," he yelled, "could you help me with something".

Castiel, the Winchesters' local angel friend, was on the other side of the room rearranging the Nativity set (he wanted it to be historically accurate). Cass got up and started walking over, "What do you need Dean?"

"I want you to climb on top of the Christmas tree," Dean explained. Castiel looked more confused than usual, "Why would you want me to do that?"

"Because we need an angel on top of our tree," the older brother explained. "Alright Dean,"

Castiel, dressed in his trademark trench coat, and sloppy blue tie, started climbing the Christmas tree. The angel got to the point where he could put his arms around the top of the tree, his body and legs hanging off the side. He was too heavy to actually sit on the tree.

The sight of Castiel on the tree, looking nothing like a traditional Christmas angel, was too much for Dean to take; he started to laugh. "Dean, I don't know how long I will be able to stay up here, my arms might get tired or I will have to go to the bathroom." Cass explained.

Sam walked into the room to see poor Castiel hanging on to the tree and Dean laughing. "Dean, let him get down!" Sam yelled with panic. "But Sammy, we need an angel for our Christmas tree," Dean explained. "But Dean, Cass is our friend. We can't let him be miserable for the next ten days because you want an angel on our tree," Sam explained. "You're right, we need to find Gabriel!" Dean announced.
