You have never known how your life and heart can change..."

Sonea looked at the window. Raining again. This year's spring was unexpectedly cold and rainy. Sonea sighed. Tiredness and irritation were making her mood even worse. Sonea got up from the chair to go to home. It was late night already. Suddenly she heard like someone nod to the door. Who could be at this hour...? Sonea opened the door with magic and blinked surprised. It was Regin. He didn't pay a visit for a long time, because of some family problems.

- Can I come in...? – the question disturbed her deep thoughts. Sonea shocked her head and smile.

- Yes. Sorry, I got lost in thoughts.

Regin closed the door and turned to her. Sonea noticed that he looked very tired, like he wouldn't had slept well for a long time. Dark rings round eyes made him look older then he was. Little crow's foot became more visible. Maybe family problems which he mentioned before was bigger than she thought...

- Sorry for that late hour, but I have some information about Skellin. – Sonea took a deep breath. Finally something. For the last few weeks they couldn't find anything about this thief whereabouts. – One of my people maintaining that he saw somebody looking like Skellin few days ago. The day after tomorrow would be a meeting about big nil's transaction. There is high possibility that Skellin by himself would be there.

- Oh... I have to be there, or as close as possible to find out about his magical powers. Maybe he's not as good to hide it completely. Could you tell me where would be that meeting?

- Near the North Gate. I go with you. – Sonea looked at his eyes surprised.

- You don't have to. I can go alone... You said about some family problems...

- That's ok Sonea. I want to catch him as much as you – he replied with firmly voice. Sonea looked at his face expression for few seconds. There was something different then usual. Like anger ? But she didn't tell anything what could irritated him...

- Ok... If you want to go with me, that's ok. – she said slowly. His gaze softened.

- Thank you. I informed you later about time and place. – said Regin. He bowed delicately with respect, and turned to the door.

- Regin... – he turned to her. Sonea took a deep breath. – What happened...? You look very tired. When was the last time when you sleep well ?

The question shocked him. Regin lowered his gaze looking at the floor for a moment, then smiled wryly.

- That's nothing. I'm just tired lately. I will go now. Good night Sonea, The Black Magician. – he opened the door and starting to walk. But suddenly he stopped in the door and turned head looking at her.

- Thank You Sonea. – he said with a smile and disappeared in the cold night. But this time it was a warm smile.

Sonea leaned her back at the wall. It was nice to see familiar face. She sighed with amusement. Guess, it has been the first time when she was happy to see Regin. Sonea opened her eyes widely shocked because of her own reaction. Was she really happy because of meeting Him..?

The streets were empty because of the coldness and rain. It was late night when Sonea left the clinic. But the town never sleeps. Especially it's "commercial" districts. Sonea noticed lights in few windows, talking people hiding at the old, dark gates. For any other magician the streets would looked totally empty, but she knew very well how and where the people with suspicious reputation are hiding. She lived at such place for many years. She walked slowly near the harbour. This atmosphere, smells and sounds was nostalgic and relaxing. The last time when she could walk like that was more than twenty years ago. Probably at least one spy of Kallen's was following her, but somehow that idea wasn't irritated her at all. Sonea looked at the old, unused landing stage at the end of the harbour. Somebody was sitting at it's end and looking at the dark water. Little smile appeared at her lips. How many times was she sitting there and looking at the stars in her childhood days? When she was nearer, the person became more distinct. Passing the landing stage's entrance Sonea looked for the last time at the person at its end, and frowned. The person sitting alone at the stage landing was Regin.

Sonea hesitated only for a moment, before her steps made their way for his direction. Regin jumped and turned around hearing crack of old wooden boards behind him. Sonea smiled seeing surprise and consternation at his face.

- Good evening... again, Lord Regin

- Oh... It's you... – he replied. Sonea thought that maybe she shouldn't go there. Well, it was obvious that he wanted to be alone. But... there was something at his expressions and acting what bothered her. He had some problem or problems which troubled him very much, she was sure about that. But one thing, she wasn't sure why, was the fact that she did care what happening with him.

- I was walking here and saw you... – Sonea sit next to him and turned head in his direction – Regin. I knew you for more than twenty years. Well, we had very specific relationship at first, but it's not the point here. There is something what bothering you. I can tell it just looking at you. – Sonea paused watching his face. His expression looks like he was fighting with his thoughts. Regin sighed.

- Sonea... I told you before that I have some family problems... – he looked at the dark water in silence for few seconds – It's... it's about my wife...

- Oh.. I apologize...

- No, don't have to... Guess everyone gossiping about that for a long time.

- Well... – Sonea wasn't sure what to say. She heard many gossips about their marriage, and lately Dorrien heard that they have very bad relations.

- If you really want to know, I tell you. – Regin disturbed her thoughts. Sonea held breath, realizing that it was something what he wanted to say to someone for a very long time.
