Starting Over
Prologue: Here Comes the Sun
I rushed into the airport to escape from the pouring rain outside and looked around the airport. There was nothing really unusual per say, about it. It was just an airport to others, there wasn't probably anything significant about it, but to me, it was probably one of the most important places in my life.
The familiar palm trees scattered around outside, the tourists' prattle being heard all over the room. Someone patted my shoulder, I looked behind me to see my dad one of the members of my goodbye party. They wouldn't see me for 3 months at least, perhaps it will be good for my family. Maybe, just maybe, some good for others could come out of this.
I turned and tugged him down into a hug, "Bye, Dad, I'll miss you."
"I love you too, good Luck, Cat." He said.
"Don't worry, and take care for me, alright?" he nodded and I turned to my brother and hugged him.
"Good Luck, Matt." I said and hugged him quickly and turned to my mom. "Goodbye, Mother, See you in Three months." I told her, grabbing my bags. I went to hug my dad one more time, then I stepped back and waved.
"Goodbye, Caty." My brother said patting me on the back and giving me a light nudge and my Mother just nodded. I took one last look out the window where cars of every color were blurs from the rain and the speed as the cars whirled down the road the palm trees bowing to the rain. Then I turned around, pulled my bags and walked through the gate.
I never looked back.
