A short Sephira-centric piece that just had to be written.
Sephira was perfect. After centuries of bad results, finally an age-old plan had come to fruition.
The berserkers were examples of this same plan gone slightly wrong. They, like Sephira, had been raised- even born -for Chronos. they were loyal, but only on the surface. The loyalty was deeper with Sephira. She carefully weighed every action she took to be certain it would be good for Chronos, and never allowed herself to get carried away, lost in the moment of fighting. Not only that, she did not waste energy on herself- all was for Chronos. At the same time, there was balance- she took care of herself enough to be able to do all she could for Chronos.
No-one had to keep Sephira in line- she watched herself, she punished herself for mistakes, and she kept others in line at the same time.
Beyond that- she was not in any way devoid of personality, a flaw often found in such people. Sephira had a personality- a careful, unimposing, and yet firm and cunning personality. She wasn't devoid of emotion- another extremely common flaw. In fact, she may have had more emotion than most, which gave her another bonus- she understood people. She was emotional enough to understand the why behind the what in people's actions.
Sephira was balance. She was passionate: a huge waterfall of passion for Chronos and it's purpose- the purpose she was taught to believe in- crashed behind her every move. And yet, her perfect control kept everything in check.
It was true, Sephira was perfect. But there is, of course, a price for perfection- freedom. Yes, Sephira was trusted by the Elders, to the point that she had an outside illusion of freedom- but inside, her control kept her prisoner. Her heart was kept prisoner by her firm will- and always would be.
