"Peter we have a problem." Neal said as he came into Peter's office.

"What is it?" Peter asked looking up from the file that he was going over for the twentieth time.

"I thought we had a nice partnership going, that we could tell each other almost anything."The conman replied looking slightly hurt. Peter was a bit worried he found out about the music box.

"'Look Neal…" Peter started.

"You didn't tell me your birthday was tomorrow! How did you expect me to get you a present if I didn't know?" Neal said grinning flipping his hat in the air and putting it back on.

"I didn't want anyone to make a big deal out of it, how did you find out anyways?" Peter said looking back to his paperwork.

"Elizabeth called me, now what do you want for your birthday?" Neal asked.

"Nothing, but I know you'll buy something anyways." The FBI agent muttered.

"You're exactly right about that. I'm going to take the rest of the day off, is that alright?" Neal asked.

"You can't take the day off." Peter replied.

"Fine, I'm taking my lunch break." Neal said with a smile.

"Whatever, you already made up your mind anyways." Peter said as Neal left his office and proceeded to go outside.

The sky was beautiful, though it was a tad bit too hot. Neal started walking down the street, trying to think of a good present for Peter. He then thought of the perfect present, smiling to himself he began walking towards the mall.

The next day Peter walked into the FBI office, going to his desk he found two packages along with a baseball cap. He opened the one package and found it was a nice tie. The other gift was a DVD copy of Catch Me If You Can. Peter chuckled and set the gift down.

Minutes later Neal Caffery walked in the office. "Happy Birthday, Peter." He said with his signature grin.

"Thanks for the presents, you didn't have to, I especially like the baseball cap and the movie." He replied with a smile.

"I figured you would never wear a fedora even if they never go out of style, but a baseball cap you would like, and the movie well I thought it fit." Neal said shrugging and laughing.

"You got that right." Peter smiled.

"So what are we working on today? Hopefully something interesting." Neal said sitting down in the office chair.

"Not quite, today we are working on mortgage fraud cases and we get to do paperwork." Peter replied.

"Can't we do something else? I mean it's your birthday and we are going to do paperwork." Neal tried to get out of the work. If there was one thing he hated it was paperwork and mortgage fraud, it was so boring.

"Sorry, but it we get though this work I think we can get out early and maybe get some cake from my house." Peter smirked.

"Okay, let's get this done, cake sounds really good right now." Neal grinned.
