She gave an impatient tug on the sleeve of his red hoodie.

"Come on, Marco! Just skip karate for today and hang out here! We can make nachos," Star tempted.

She hated being home alone.

"That's an intriguing offer Star, but I have to go. Sensei will kill me if I miss another class."

He had missed all of his lessons last week to stay with her.

She was not going to take no for an answer.

"So, what can I do to get you to stay if nachos won't work?" She asked, exasperated. She could understand him turning her down, but nachos? He must be sick, she quickly assumed.

"Are you feeling alright, Marco?"

He could see her concern rapidly rising and he tried to assure her, "I'm fine, Star." His voice cracked, indicating that he was indeed not fine. He seemed to be struggling with saying no to her. Her large baby blue eyes widening in sudden realization.

She could win this debate.

"Are you sure that there is nothing I can do to convince you otherwise?" She drawled out as she toyed with the ends of her long golden locks and batted her long eyelashes at him.

His cheeks flushed as he began to desperately spitting out excuse after excuse while she moved closer to him.

"Nothing at all?" she questioned once more, now standing directly in front of him, tugging lightly on the draw strings of his worn red hoodie.

She watched him visibly gulp as he stuttered out, "N-N-Nope! N-Nothing at all!" He chucked inconvincibly, rubbed the back of his neck, tearing his gaze away from her as he gulped once more.

She tugged now at the collar of his hoodie as the hearts on her cheeks seemed to glow a brighter pink than before when she whispered, "I could offer you something better than nachos."

He shivered and was only able to sputter out a small, "What?"

"This," she said before leaning forward and pressing her soft lips to his.

His eyes darted wide open but he had no complaints, so he began to slowly kiss her back. His arm wrapped around her waist and hers around his neck.

This lasted for a minute or two before star finally pulled back. The hearts now radiating a crimson color as she giggled softly before teasingly saying, "Now are you convinced to stay?"

He combed his hand through his hair and nodded, chuckling softly. "That depends," he stated as he gently cupped her cheek with his hand, "Does that mean we can try this again?"

Star silently chuckled at the hopeful gleam in his eye.

"Maybe, but let's make nachos first, then we'll find out."

He watched her bound off towards the kitchen as he sighed and rubbed his temples.

He thought, "This girl is going to be the death of me."

He quickly set off after her to help and supervise while she made nachos for the two of them to share.

It seemed like Marco would be staying home after all.

The End.
