Season I: First Steps
Chapter 1: "The Wonderful World of Kalos!"
Welcome to the world of Pokémon! In this world there are over 700 Pocket Monsters or Pokémon, for short. Some people play with them, and some people bond with Pokémon through battles. And now, it's your turn to become a legend!-Professor Augustine Sycamore
In a house in Vaniville Town, Calem de Gaulle is sleeping peacefully…until his mother's Fletching pecked his head. "AAHH!" He fell out of his bed and grabbed a box, containing clothes his mother bought for him. He changed into blue jeans, a black shirt, a blue jacket and a red cap with his trademark sunglasses on top. He went downstairs. His mother greeted him with "Hi honey, all rested up from the trip?" "Why don't you say hi to our new neighbours?" But when he went outside, the last thing he expected were two girls waiting for him. He fell backwards.
When he got up, he got a better look at the girls. One was blonde and one was a tanned brunette. He introduced himself. "Hi, my new is Calem de Gaulle." The blonde replied "Nice to meet you. My name is Serena Moore and this is my best friend, Shauna Fasion." "Why were you waiting for me?" Calem asked. "As you may know, the esteemed Pokémon professor Sycamore lives here in the Kalos region. He has a request for five kids including you!" Serena said. "But the main reason we came here was this." Serena handed Calem an envelope. "Give this to your mother." Shauna then said "You better hurry up, because we're gonna get a Pokémon!" Then she bolted off.
Calem went inside and gave the letter to his mother. "What's this? Could it be a love letter?" "Oh, it's a request! Go for it, honey."
Calem ran through the gates onto the stunning Garden Pathway and into Aquacorde Town where he saw Serena and Shauna sitting at a table with two boys. Shauna shouted "Hey, Calem over here!" He sat next to Shauna. The girls introduced the boys; "Meet Tierno" he was a large boy wearing a Vanillite shirt, "and Trevor." he was a smaller boy with hair that looked too big for his head! "Now you can get your pokemon!" He grabbed the ball on the right and threw it. A white flash greeted the opening, and a small blue frog creature with hundreds of little bubble things on its neck appeared. Trevor gave him a small computer.
"It's called a PokeDex" he told Calem. "Scan your pokemon with it!" He did and a holographic reading of it appeared! "Froakie, the Tiny Frog pokemon. Although it is small, it tries to be tough. "So your name's Froakie, huh?" Calem asked. "Froakie, return!" The little frog retreated back into the ball.
Calem walked towards the gate. Just as he was about to leave, Shauna yelled "Let's have a battle!"
