TURNING A BLIND EYE (ver.1)

MIKAN'S POV

"Natsume!"

I shouted as I chase after the raven-haired lad out of the classroom.

"Natsume! Wait up!"

By the way, I'm Mikan Sakura. A brunette of 16 years of age. And the lad I'm currently chasing is Natsume Hyuuga, my boyfriend of 3 years.

"NATSUME~!"

I screamed, but he didn't turn around. He was so fast; I can't keep up with him. I stop to catch my breath as he disappeared from my sight. You may be wondering why I'm so desperate in catching Natsume. I'm telling you this beforehand: NO, I'M NOT CHASING HIM TO ASK FOR RABBITS TO BUY SOME HOWLONS! The reason is because I wanted to know why he is avoiding me for like 3 WEEKS! THE HELL WITH THAT! WHAT KIND OF BOYFRIEND IGNORES HIS GIRLFRIEND FOR 3 WHOLE WEEKS?! Every time I tried to walk up to him and talk, its either he ignores me or goes to Ruka-pyon's side and acted like nothing happen to him for the past 5 minutes (5 minutes trying to talk to him)! I even tried to eat alone at lunch, thinking he'll eat with me, but NO! HE JUST PASSED ME! He doesn't completely ignore me, though. Every time I arrived in the morning, he'll greet me "Mornin', POLKA." and goes back to reading his manga, and when class ended, he'll say "Bye, polka." and leave. Well, those are the only things he kept saying to me for 3 weeks. Nothing more, nothing less. We didn't even have at least ONE decent conversation!

I won't give up! I ran out of the building in hopes that I'll find him in our Sakura tree. When I reached the tree, I looked up the branches to see if he was there, either reading or sleeping. But no Natsume Hyuuga was there! I tried to look for him in Central Town, but he isn't there. The sun is already setting, but I still couldn't find Natsume.

I sighed. "I guess I won't be able to talk to him today…"

I was about to go back to my dorm when someone called me.

"Polka…"

I turned around and saw Natsume, hands in his pockets and looking at me with sincere and solemn eyes.

"I'm sorry."

I blinked. Am I dreaming? Natsume, saying sorry?! What?!

"W-what?"

I noticed that Natsume's cheeks went red. He lowered his head so some of his messy hair covered his face.

"I'm sorry… for not talking you… and sort of ignoring you… I just… It's because… I just don't know what to say to you… after the incident that you cried so much after those perverted tricks I've done… I just don't know how to talk to you anymore… you know I can only talk to you while teasing you… I just… I'm sorry…"

I don't know what to say. I was speechless. The fact that my boyfriend, the NATSUME HYUUGA, is actually apologizing and acted like some tsundere! My Gawd, that's so cute!

I smiled. "It's okay, I understand."

Natsume looked up and gave me a tight hug. "Thanks!"

"I'm sorry too…"

Natsume let's go of me and looked at me with confusion. "For what?"

"I know it's hard for you to say those things to me. You don't have to say it, but you said it anyway… for me… Thank you."

I smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Natsume didn't look satisfied. "Are you kidding me? On the cheek?" he smirked as he wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed me full on the lips.
