Tag (of sorts) to season 11 premiere.
Sam knew what he would see even before he pulled his shirt aside, revealing his fate. Dark strands of destruction spread across his skin, evil once again growing inside of him. He sighed heavily, staring at his reflection. He'd known the risk. He just hadn't thought it would come to this.
Dean had killed Death instead of sacrificing his brother but now, in just a few short hours, Sam would still be dead, unless he could figure out a cure before the sickness took hold. Out of options and almost out of hope, Sam looked upward and began to pray.
