Yellow Sundress.

A/N: What possessed me to write a lovely little Jiley? Um, just the whole Jiley "friendship" thing. Whatever, people, you guys still like each other. :)

Disclaimer: I own nothing. I don't even own a yellow sundress! Grrrr.

You hate Jake Ryan. You hate his gorgeous green eyes and blond hair. You especially hate how mature he's become.

You feel silly around him now. Just some goofy 14-year-old girl that gets jealous way too easily. Jake, on the other hand, seems to have grown ten years wiser in two months.

Well he did, after all, turn 15 the month before. Did turning 15 make you mature all of a sudden?

You search your room for distractions when you start thinking of him. You blast your Jesse McCartney records and jump on your bed while at the same eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's.

Because thinking about him always brings back sad and happy memories. The sad tend to trump the good.

But, somehow, the day always ends with you in your pajamas and a box of tissues at your side. You watch Teen Bigfoot, just so you can see Jake talking, moving, BEING.

Lilly says that you're completely cracked.

Under a poster of Zac Efron, you keep a picture of Jake. It's been months since you've looked at it. That seems a bit obsessive. Long, unhappy gazes drift toward it daily.

You still hold the childish hope that Jake will come back to sweep you off your feet.

But 14-year-olds shouldn't act like children.

You can't wait to turn 15. Then, maybe, you won't act so much like a child.

And you'll be old enough.

Old enough for Jake.

What does a yellow sundress have to do with this? NO IDEA
