POWER RANGERS SPIRIT MASTERS

CHAPTER 1: SPIRIT RANGER POWER

THE MOON

Lord Drakkon sat on the throne that was once occupied by Lord Zedd. He drummed his fingertips on the armrest with one hand. "I'm bored," he said more to himself than anyone else. "I guess now is the time to conquer Earth like my former Empress Rita wanted. With the Earth without Power Rangers, I can now claim the planet as my own."

"Yes, Lord Drakkon," said a gold cat-like creature. "I can take a group of Shadow Putties with me to wreak havoc, if you want me to."

Lord Drakkon pondered the idea for a few seconds before saying, "Yes, Lynx, you will wreak havoc on the Earth, but with me by your side. Together, the Earth will be ours." Lynx bowed low. "This will be a message to the Spirit Force Rangers, my friend, that I, Lord Drakkon, am not someone to be reckoned with." The two laughed mirthlessly as they vanished into thin air.

ANGEL GROVE, 2017

It was a gorgeous day in Angel Grove. James, Lily and Albus Potter, the children of the famous Harry Potter, had just gotten out of school and were walking to the Youth Center for some pumpkin juice and perhaps some food while they did their homework for the day. "You know," said James as they walked, "today looks like it's going to be a beautiful day."

"Yeah," said Lily as she took a deep breath of warm air, "it sure does. I really don't think anything can turn it into a bad day." They stopped when they saw a flash of light appear out of nowhere and two figures stood five feet in front of them. The first looked like someone somehow fused the original Green and White Rangers together and the second looked like a gold cat on two legs. "Me and my big mouth."

"Look what we have here, Lynx," said the Ranger. "A bunch of children."

"We're not just any children, you Power Ranger imposter!" Lily snarled. "We're wizards and witches!" The three drew their wands. "STUPEFY!" Three jets of red light flew from their wands. The spells bounced off the Ranger's chest shield and he laughed.

"You think your pathetic spells will do anything to me?" the Ranger taunted. "I'll show you real power!" The Ranger summoned green energy in the palm of his hands and launched the energy at the three children who were blasted backward. "You're all pathetic! Nobody can take on Lord Drakkon!"

"You want a bet on that?" said a voice from behind him. The Ranger turned and saw the five original Spirit Force Rangers. James, Lily and Albus grinned. "You three, get somewhere safe." Harry Potter said and they did as told. He looked at the other four Rangers and said, "It's Mrophin time!" The others nodded and the five Rangers pulled out their Morphers, which resembled the SPD Morphers. "SPIRIT FORCE, POWER UP!" They clicked their Morphers and they morphed into their Ranger forms. "Stag Slinger, fire!" Harry's slingshot fired a few fireballs at the evil Ranger who had no time to block or dodge them.

"Terrier Cannon, fire!" Ron called and shot a blast of yellow energy which slammed into the evil Ranger knocking him back a few feet. "Care for some more?" Ginny and Kimberly used their weapons to finish the attack. "Let's form the Spirit Force Cannon, guys!" The five Rangers combined their weapons into the Spirit Force Cannon and took aim. "Fire!" A powerful orb of gold energy launched from the weapon and Lord Drakkon yelled as he fell down in a fiery explosion.

"That should do it," said Harry as the Rangers' weapons returned to normal and in their own hands. "Nobody could have survived that." His eyes widened from inside his helmet as Lord Drakkon stood smoking slightly from the impact of the blast. "No! That's impossible!" The red visor of Drakkon's helmet was cracked enough to where they could see the eyes of the person underneath the helmet. "Kim..."

"Tommy?" Kimberly gasped. "No...this can't be true! You're at home!"

"I am not your Tommy, Pink Ranger," Drakkon said in a strained voice. "I am from another dimension where Rita Repulsa's spell didn't get broken and I took over where she left off." He looked up to the sky for a moment. "I'm about to make things more interesting for all of you. Goodbye Power Rangers!" He teleported leaving a small burn mark on the grass where he fell in the explosion.

OLIVER RESIDENCE - ANGEL GROVE

Kimberly stormed down to the basement with the other Spirit Force Rangers behind her along with their children. Tommy, who had been watching the entire battle from his computers stared wide-eyed at her. "I want answers, and I want them NOW!" she snarled.

"I don't have the answers, Kim," he said, "but I think there might be some people who might." He tapped a few keys on the keyboard and the face of Tony Stark appeared on the screen. "Tony, we have a problem." Tony Stark sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "We're going to need all the help we can get. Do you think you can get your Avengers to help us?"

"I think so," said Tony. "I'll try and get Bruce and some of the others to help. By the way, you may need to start Project: Spirit Force 2.0. From what I got off your new baddie, Harry's team won't be able to stop him."

"We figured that out, thanks," Kimberly growled. "What's 'Project: Spirit Force 2.0?"

Tommy sighed and said, "That is where we bring in the next generation of Rangers: our children."

"No!" Kim said grabbing her daughter by the shoulders. "My baby girl is not going to be a Ranger! I refuse to let that happen."

"Oh, I wasn't going to ask Annabelle to do it." Tommy said with a grimace. "It's time to call on our oldest child." Annabelle gulped. "It's a long shot, but we have no choice."

"Tommy, we haven't talked to Jackie in five years. Do you really think she'll do it?" Kim asked.

"Dad? Are you sure bringing my sister into this is a good idea? She's been studying at the Wind Ninja Academy since she was five and we haven't spoken to her in ages. I'm willing to step down and let her take my place but...will she do it?"

"It's worth a try." Tommy said with a shrug. He typed a command on the computer and pulled up a video chat which started calling. After a few rings, the face of Cam Watanabe appeared. "Hey, Cam, it's Tommy. Is my daughter there?"

"Jackie's in training right now, but I can probably get her to talk to you," said the former Green Ranger. "What's the situation?"

"We're starting Project: Spirit Force 2.0 and we need her." Tommy explained. "Have her call me. Tell her it's important." Cam nodded and cut off the communication. "Now, we wait." After a few minutes the computer beeped indicating an incoming transmission. He tapped a few keys and a girl with curly brown shoulder-length hair was on the screen. "Hey, Jackie."

"What's wrong, Dad?" said the girl. "Cam said it's important."

"It is. There's an alternate-dimension version of me that's attacking the Earth and I'm starting a new Ranger team and was wondering if you'd like to join in?"

"Are you serious?" Jackie said, her brown eyes wide. "Dad, you know I'd do anything to protect Earth. Consider me part of the team. I'm on my way...um...do you have a way of teleporting me home? My car's in the shop right now and..."

"Just hold tight and I'll teleport you here." Tommy said. He turned to the others. "Harry, I'm sorry, but it's time for the kids to take over as Rangers." Harry and the original Spirit Force team nodded. "Kids, prepare to receive your powers as soon as your Pink Ranger gets here."

"Are you sure about this?" James asked. "Because I don't know if we're cut out to be Power Rangers."

"Yeah," said Albus. "I mean, it's great that you trust us with the responsibility to protect Earth, but do you really think it's a good idea?"

"Trust me, it is." Kim said. "You're Earth's only hope of survival from Drakkon's power." Just then a pink beam of light entered the room and Jackie Oliver ran up to her and embraced Kim in a hug. "Hey, baby. Glad to have you home."

Jackie let go of her mom and went to her Dad. "Sorry it took so long for me to get here. I had to adjust the frequency on my communicator so your transportation systems would get me here." She looked at the rest of her team and smiled. "Hi, guys. I'm your Pink Ranger."

James, though shocked, cleared his throat and held out his hand for her to shake. "I'm James, oldest son of Harry Potter." She shook his hand and then did the same with the others. "Now, let's get our powers and show this Lord Drakkon bloke that we mean business."

Tommy stood up and opened a black box with a lightning bolt on the lid. "These are your Spirit Morphers and Ranger Keys. Gosei was going to use these as an upgrade for the Megaforce Rangers, but I talked him into giving them to me for your use." Each of the five Rangers took their Morpher and Key. "James, you are the Red Ranger. You will command the Spirit Force Skyship Zord which, when combined with the other Zords will be the shoulders and torso of the Megazord. Albus, you are the Blue Ranger. Your Zord is the Jet Zord which will become the head and left arm of the Megazord; Lily, you will be the Yellow Ranger and control the Wheeler Zord. You're the Green Ranger, Hugo, and the Racer Zord will be yours. Finally, Jackie, you are the Pink Ranger and you will command the Sub Zord." He pointed to their Ranger Keys. "Your Ranger Keys are what lets you access your powers. You will have access to the powers of all Power Rangers in the past, present and future...not to mention those from other dimensions."

"That is brilliant," James breathed as he stared at his key. "So...what are our weapons?"

"Each of you have two sidearms. The Spirit Saber and the Spirit Blaster. Your keys can combine with each of them for a powerful final attack and you will also be able to call on the Spirit Force Cannon." Tommy said showing them a powerful cannon shaped like the Skyship. "This weapon uses all of your Ranger Keys to create a powerful blast that will, more than likely, destroy the monster you're fighting."

"Uh, Tommy," said Harry looking at one of the screens, "it looks like Drakkon has found a way to go through time and to other dimensions."

"Damn. Looks like we're going to need you now." Tommy groaned. Before he could send the new Rangers on their first mission, the doors opened and a small group led by Tony Stark entered. "Rangers, I want you to meet the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes."

"Rangers," said Steve Rogers, "it's an honor to meet you." He wore his usual blue uniform with a white star on the chest and red stripes. "You can call me Captain America. This is Natasha Romanoff or known as Black Widow, Bruce Banner, Clint Barton, Thor, and, of course, Spider-Man."

Peter Parker stepped forward and shook their hands. "Tony, Bruce and I had the honor of working with your parents when they were the active Ranger team. Let's do this." The new Rangers and the Avengers stood together in a line.

"Okay, everyone, you better board the Skyship." Tommy explained. "James, you better morph and get into the cockpit so you can pilot the ship. You're about to go through a wormhole that will most likely take you back in time. Remember, don't tell anyone too much about the future or bad things may happen."

"Right!" the new Rangers and the Avengers said in unison. They all boarded the ship and were ready to start their first adventure.
