Albus Revisited, by lemke
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
A is for answers, that were found after you
L is for love, which you believed was so true
B is the best friend that you thought him to be
U is for unrequited, alone, unhappy
S is for scared, of the power of greed
P is for penance; your mistakes you did heed
E is for Elder, the wand with which you fought
R is for Ring, and vision of death that it brought
C is for Cloak; you've 'seen' it once before
I is for intelligence; knowledge has never been a chore
V is for valiant, that you did what was right
A is for anxiety; you would lose a friend in that fight
L is for loss; of family, hopes and dreams
W is for wonder; nothing ever is as it seems
U is for understanding; magic does not save all
L is for letters; Petunia heard your call
F is for futile, that only life took what you gave
R is for regret, those you loved you could not save
I is for iciness; your drink of mortal despair
C is for concern, for the innocent you could help spare
B is for battle, it started with your end
R is for respect, for only fools would otherwise pretend
I is for ingenious; the clues that you left behind
A is for always; trusting others to think their mind
N is for neglect, you had your reasons, it appears
D is for disgrace, you had secrets and fears
U is for unknown, many still see just the lies
M is for magic, and the bonds that it ties
B is for brother, what you had left you had lost
L is for leader, and the lives of the Phoenix it cost
E is for enchanter, gave courage and hope
D is for demise; the war's far-reaching scope
O is for ovation; when the goddess called you name
R is for reminisce, for things will never be the same
E is for engraved, in our hearts you remain, a friend, a mentor, a man on the train.
I'd like to thank J.K. Rowling and her story of Albus' love that inspired this poem. Oh, and obviously for writing the Harry Potter books, especially Deathly Hallows.
