A/N: I was writing poetry in one of my English classes, and four little ideas for poems that had nothing to do with the assignment hit me. This is the third one. It's Natsuko thinking about Yamato.

A Child's Scorn
By: Crystal, aka Matt Mimi
Bitter eyes
On one so young
Looks so wrong,
But that's the way
It's always been.
You play your guitar
And sing your songs,
A self-mocking smile
On your face.
But bitter eyes betray
That there is no joy,
Only anger.
I wonder,
Sometimes,
If it's my fault,
That if I'd stayed
Married
To *him,*
Then you would've been
Happy...?
But you can't change
The past,
And I wouldn't want to, anyhow.
But it hurts
That you're a stranger,
My son
Is but
A child I'll never
Truly
Know.
